Had the show launched like the daily star reported.
Then flopped channel 5 would have held all the Aces could have stood up and told people they tried
with the feed the non media housemates and it failed.
Ford said about HM's sleeping so it was clear they would only have given the overnight feed anyway.Going back it was a bad deal to begin with.

Its still early days for the ratings
the novelty of noms talk and hm's will wear off soon imo
the weather for summer is awful too which may have some
effect as to why so many are watching

Im not too worried by these figures as yet
although there will be some who will be

If as some are saying this year could be a classic BB then it seems mad not to
want more viewers and could easily get 2m with live feed

really lots of complaints about the 10pm start time.
so being on at 9 will at least sort out that issue for them.
Think the Ratings would only do one thing until Jeff ford thinks its a good idea getting a feed back it wont happen.

they would just axe the show and keep the Celeb one until thats drained

Starting the highlights show at 9pm may draw more viewers but its summer schedules
and up against very little if any competition

Im sure in the early days the highlights were on at 10pm
These ratings so far may be good for C5
which proves an audience is still there so why not bring in the live feed
it can only enhance the ratings imo

BOTS was dire ratings for C5 nomination reveal last night
maybe this show could be altered or even replaced with live feed

The way i see this C5 BB is on the lines of Towie,
however having watched BBUSA live feed for a whole series
and how their version they talk about nom,HOH,power of veto etc
far more game playing talk than was in our BB

It has occurred to me that since BB9 our BB has been heading towards
the BBUSA version
C5 imo are now heading in that direction with noms talk and game playing more important than
how entertaining or nice a housemate is

This will become very boring after a while as only 45mins is shown a night and will be
taken up of lots of noms talk etc
There is no way that BBUSA can work without a live feed due to this very game playing format as so much of the noms conversations and deals will need to be followed

I know this seems a bit long winded but I'm sure this is where C5 are heading

yet a key element thats always been present in BBUSA is now here and BBUSA isnt an entertainment show it can be very brutal.

Mixed messages for sure
the show doesn't have any structure to it atm
if c5 want to change the format etc
then the first people who need to know whats going on
are the viewers
I would get used to a different style of show but whatever
they do it won't take away the fact that live feed is needed

We dont have a problem with most of the changes they want in the hl shows because apart from DR and Tasks thats all we took from them.

this is what puzzles us the most with the feed there AND what they wanted for h.l show they would have embraced both arms of the fanbase.I still think a figure of 2.2/2.4 could be done if they really tried.

if channel 5 had maximized the potential of big brother from the start then i've no doubt ratings would be much higher than 1.4 million

i'd say 2 million would have been achievable if channel 5 had gone about it in the right manner from the start
even if the streaming was reinstated for the next normal series ,i'm not so sure now as

since channel 5 took the show over they've done their best to lose viewers which i'll never understand
would the lost viewers come back or have they moved on for good regardless ?

but after stating that live feed could have been done

theres no real transparency on costings some might say why would they need to do that?
Well given as this issue clearly wont go away if they are going to use cost even though Mr ford stated cost wasnt the issue.but Northen and shell have posted dips of upto 80% in profits.
theres no costs only the examples are fans of the feed we can use.all other ones around the world have some a free some charge.

Various options to upgrade to multicams or remain on a basic package.
theres now the added elements of product placements.again as tauren suggested using the merger of both the bingo and the feed into one site adding revenue for the bingo.
theres clearly options and ideas they could use that even before they started to charge for a service would bring down the overhead costs but a large amount before adding subscribers.

if channel 5 were serious about a return upgraded quality has to be there.that appears to be another old chesnut brought out.'all the feed gave was birdsong and trains'.

Two issues not raised.
Mobile phone ap at say 15 pounds would make them a fortune its what the new phones were made for.
also No Geoblock on the netbased feed like BBUSA bring in a lot of worldwide fans who already find ways of watching the show but grey means.

the money is there to be made if fans can keep thinking up ways we know have been proven to work why doesnt C5 want to apply them maybe thats the biggest mystery

Maybe the expert in live feed Jeff Ford isn't aware of these good ideas and may need a little persuasion to look into them
especially as they are money making and C5/Desmond likes nothing better than to make money
