Is it too early to tell ? Bruce and the judges seem to think it is !

I think it could be at least the best series since series 5 when Alesha won.

Great bunch this year!

No.

The earlier series were much better.

Last year's will take some beating but I think there are too many old'uns this year

You never know till it starts but the celebrity mix makes me think it is another Chris Hollins year

I t hink it should be good. The absolute best bit is that there is no Kerry Katona!

Well if by a "Chris Hollins year", you mean a plucky if limited little'un wins, then we can expect to see a - by then - spectacularly trim Russell Grant lifting the glitterball in one hand and Flavia in the other.

But if you mean someone wins who gets TV exposure several times a week, then it has to be Alex Jones if she shows an ounce of likeability. Cos it won't be Dan Lobb!

As much as I love Flavia, if Russell Grant manages to win SCD 2011 it will be my worst nightmare come true.

But anyone who can watch an old tape of himself and say "I looked like Leo Sayer!" can't be all bad.

'The best ever'? they say that every series. It's certainly the most botox ridden series though.WTF has that Chelsea girl done to herself?

Deffo. Best evah. I'm really enjoying it.

What do you mean it hasn't started yet??

Seriously now, I always reserve my judgement until at least half way through the series.

I got such a "feel good" feeling watching the show tonight, I just didn't want it to end. I think that Robin and Anita are going to be the pair to watch!

***waves*** Series 5 is still my benchmark too.

It's interesting because really, among fans of the show, there must be one definitive show that stands out among the others. The judges have to say how excited they are each series otherwise they are in for a very boring 3 months, and they are paid very well ! But I think that for the people who watch every series, there has to be one that is head and shoulders above the others and the benchmark for what is to come. Looks as though it's series 5 for everyone!

And mine!

For me, it was the series where you had some amazing pro dancers and dances, some very talented celebs some of whom were such big characters, and a voting system where there was a point to it because your money went to Children in Need. Also, they danced "properly" according to the original Ballroom and Latin rules and the judges commented accordingly.

Add to this mix a truly genuine and great spirit amongst the competitors, plus some truly incredible work from our amazing pro dancers, made it the best and most naturally balanced series ever for me, and I have watched from the beginning.

That sums it all up for me, couldn't have put it better. It had one of the best partnerships in the history of the show as winners, and some classic moments on ITT - there really wasn't much, if anything, wrong with that series at all!
