Strictly Fix Dancing
How comes Artem always get's the talented dancers whilst Brenden for example always get's the older, and least talented ones.
Artem had Kara last year and now this year he has Holly. I know it is too early to predict how good they will be, but in all honesty i expect them to make the final. So annoying. |

I don't think you can say who's talented or not so early on.... Brendan may really hit it off with Lulu and usually the celebs who work really hard can make progress. Holly may not be as good as you expect. Everything can change !!!

In a year when young female celebrities are thin on the ground, it would have been fairer to assign Holly to someone else. I would have liked to have seen how Artem coped with a very different type of partner to the one he had last time round.
Of course we don't know how good Holly will actually be, but on paper she'd have been the one most the pros would have been hoping to get. Let's not kid ourselves. |

maybe they has done it for headlines as he is with kara from last year and maybe they are hoping for dramas and jealousy as he has the hot girl this time again huh?

Just because she looks good doesn't mean that she'll be a good dancer. On paper it does seem unfair but we can't know for sure until we've seen them dance at least once.

There is no way she will be average. |

It's only his second year and as others have said, she may not neccesarily be good.

Completely agree that he shouldn't have been given another good dancer, even if it is only in theory so far. But others have had good partners 2 years running, Natalie for example, Also, as I've posted elsewhere, Holly has a tough act to follow in Kara, and that goes for the way her character comes across as well as dancing.

Maybe it isn't fair, but personally I'm always happy to see the better choreographers like Artem get a decent partner just to make sure there are some genuinely brilliant routines. Let's be honest, it would be a waste to give her to someone like Anton...
Alas, poor Vincent and Flavia can do no right it seems. The days of Matt Di Angelo and Rachel Stevens feel like a distant memory. Also, giving Harry to Aliona? Would have been much better with Ola. |

I thnk it's safe to say that all the male pros are capable of great choreography. But being able to experiment and push the boundaries often depends on how good your partner is. Artem was fortunate that Kara was very good and so he was able to make the most of the opportunity.

Even assuming Holly will be a good dancer (dangerous assumption IMO) how do we know how popular she will be? You need both these days to get to the latter stages with no dance off.

She looked pretty average to me in the group dance. She seemed a little awkward. Though, it is far to early to tell either way.
But I hope Holly turns out to be an excellent dancer, just so that I can lust after Artem for the entire duration of the series. |

I'd have liked James to get Holly and Harry for Ola!

Not that I'm wishing that on her or anyone else. It's just a general observation on how audiences tend to work if we get smug contenders.

Agreed. She could end up coming across too smug and that would put the viewers right off her, regardless of how good she dances. I.e. when it comes to voting, the viewers will ensure that she doesn't win.

Hopefully Holly's dancing will speak for itself and people will warm to her, she seems a fun girl plus she's got the hottest partner on the show (imo of course) so I reckon she'll be ok but I'd just be very surprised if she gathers enough support to make it far in the contest. |

I like Holly, I used to quite enjoy her music BUT she does have a tendancy of making comments that get peoples backs up..often because they sound a little smug. I remember in an interview she was saying how other girls/women have never liked her all through her life and she'd struggled to make female friends and she couldnt understand why. I think it's obvious why, women feel threatened by her.. and Im sure she's fully aware of that.

So really I'm a virgin when it comes to Holly and therefore I have no past bias etc. I think she's a stunning looking woman and hope she raises to the challenge of Strictly. I therefore hope that what you have said about how she might come across as being smug, is in fact just being misunderstood. However, I fear that female viewers are very unforgiving in this area is she shows the slighest bit of smugness. Let's hope for her sake that she reins that part of herself in on the show if it's a weakness of hers.

Females like Holly and Kelly Brook mostly get an unfavourable reaction from other women. |
