I'm no great fan of Edwina but I agree that it wasn't fair to leave her there until the end. I don't know who thought it would be funny but it just wasn't.
It didn't make sense to me - they pulled James and Artem forward, gave James Alex and then bought the other two girls into the equation.

Very bizarre way to do things and not at all funny.
I wonder did the Pros know beforehand who they were getting, because the way Artem reacted or should I say failed to react, its like he knew Edwina was not going to be his partner.
