As promised, You Bring Me Joy has made my list of 20 favourite songs of 2012. My thanks to Amelia for a good debut single.

Oh no Lilies! Amelia is definitely not going to get no.1 at this rate! Conor Maynard's Animal is being released AT THE SAME TIME and she's still got no Capital coverage. She needs help...and only Radio 1 is giving her the proper coverage...

Amazing stuff.

She's so good and talented. But I'm worried she and Misha B aren't showcasing what made them so good on the X Factor and are going in the general club pop direction! I don't want them to do that, I liked Amelia with her rock and Misha with her raps but I'm starting to worry that they aren't going to do that anymore.

What does everyone else think?

It's not like she is singing Carly Ray Japsen crap (most childish cd I ever heard from someone, who is over 16 yo). Personally, I love her first 2 singles, love Truth or Dare too. So I won't encourage her to do more rock/pop because I don't know what kinda sound it would have. However it's very possible she will do her rock stuff for the 2nd album.

I guess the most important thing for singles is to be radio-friendly and catchy. I suppose record labels don't actually care what genre of music they go into if it means the song will be catchy. Carly Rae's song was incredibly catchy but yes it was childish. Amelia's is also incredibly catchy and I don't mind it I guess. But I think she needs to establish herself first then do what she wants to do.

She was on Big Brother, but other than that I don't see any real marketing force behind it (besides the most persistent Vevo ads). Those ads are good though. Hopefully after enough listens people will start to think its catchy and start buying it.

Party Over sounds really interesting.

And it's great that she's doing the GA tour! Huge audiences that she has the chance to convert into fans.

Who else likes the acoustic version of Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got) better than the normal version?

I do! I hate having all of this electronic sound blocking out Amelia's incredible voice!

Still no High profile tv apearances for Amelia, I hope her management have got a lot of appearances lined up to promote the third single and the album . I want to see her on G Norton , Alan Carr , J Ross , even shows like Celebrity juice would raise her profile . Fingers crossed party over gets the AirPlay on radio and tv .

Amelia is back, and has a new single California, I think due for release on August 24th. have already heard it on Imagine FM. I think I might like it even more than You Bring Me Joy.

Imagine FM announced the other day that Amelia will be switching on the Christmas Lights in Wythenshawe, south Manchester, on Saturday November 15th. The Metrolink tram extension to Wythenshawe and the Airport opens on November 3rd, so we have no excuse for not making it there!
