Poor old Bill. I don't think he ever recovered from doing well in his first dance (the cha cha cha) and so never got any better. IIRC (and just for all those who moan about the recent addition of props), didn't they faff abaht with a hat in that one?
I know this isn't exactly forgotten (that would be wishful thinking!) but Brendan and Lisa's bacofoil showdance, which led to one of the all-time funniest threads here on DS. I still laugh when I read it, three years later.

Aw, his VW was very nice I thought and so IIRC did the judges, and considering he was in agony from that foot..

'Not exactly forgotten'? There isn't enough brain bleach in the world to eradicate the memory of that one. But every cloud, yada, yada... you are absolutely right that, without that dance, we wouldn't have had one of the funniest threads EVAH!
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to lynxmale for adding the thread comments to the dance, which makes me laugh every time I view it. Digital Spy Bacofoil

oh god peeve - I'd forgotten about the thread comments being added to the dance. Genius.
Do you think that they still wake up in the middle of the night, in cold sweats of embarrassment remembering this? If they don't, they should.
The bit where he rolls her up his body makes me cry - with laughter and in distress.
You know, now I come to look at it again, and to that music, in a funny way it kind of reminds me of an Olympic-winning ice dance routine from many years ago, which was actually quite good...perhaps Brendan temporarily forgot which show he was on!
I chose Martina & Matt's Rumba. I thought as a routine it showed a lot of potential but Martina's nerves and the fact she was suffering from severe food poisoning on the day of the dance didn't really help!
