New simple phone suggestions
Hi all,
I'm on the lookout for a new mobile. Not looking for anything fancy as I only use phones for calling, texting and taking the occasional picture. However I still want the phone to look stylish. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks |

I would go for Nokia if you'll want to take photos, BlackBerry are alright for photos however the newer models just released do not have auto focus and the video doesn't look too good either.

Android takes it away from being "simple" in my opinion. It may not be complicated for some, and I am very comfortable with endless features and customization, but I'd never call it simple.

Thank you all for your suggestions, have been having a good look around and am interested in the Samsung chat 335, has anyone had any experience with that phone?

Any of the clamshell phones fit the bill.
Simple style and usually simple too. |

If you're going for a simple phone for calls, texts and photos, I'd still say Nokia are the first place I'd look. I've taken photos with a Nokia camera phone before now that were good enough to be published (N82).

I had a play with one of these the other day:
http://www.binatonetelecom.com/produ...keasy-600.html It belonged to a customer of mine. Intended for people with dodgy eyesight, it's really nicely made, but also has a basic camera, mp3 player,F.M radio and expandable memory. Comet and others do i for £65-ish. It feels and looks rather dearer than it is, and has a fantastic clear display. |

That's a pretty low spec camera though - I had a 1.3MP unit in my phones about 4 years ago. Even fairly ordinary Samsungs and Nokias have better quality cameras now as the sensors are improved and can usually offer decent quality pictures.
