Now, i am not a "massive" fan of the band so to speak....i love some of their anthemic hits such as CHasing Cars and the beautiful Run!

But i dont have an album by them, and with their recent song Called Out In The Dark....all i can say is WOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a genius song, it is so different to what they usually do or what i know them as, who else agrees?

So yeah set up an appreciation thread and perhaps i can learn more about the band from any fans on here too...as that is what these forums are about

Although Snow Patrol are best known for Chasing Cars, other songs of theirs are more haunting, most notably Run and Spitting Games. Their song I like best though is Take Back the City, which some of you may know was my fave song of 2008!

oh yes i rememebr that one! It was a solid song that!

I do think Run is one of those songs universally it connects and one of those songs of the era type anthems

Yes i have it...It's great....You shouldn't listen to the reviews from the critics...They are the same people that were loving Snow Patrol when they had their industrial sound with their first 2 albums....But as soon as Snow Patrol went 'dirty word' MAINSTREAM....They got their knifes out for them...and now nothing they do is good enough and coldplay lite...Let YOUR ears be the judge

"Hands Open" and "Take Back The City" never got enough airplay or video time.
