The Wanted have premiered their next single 'Lightning' today and it is out on October the 24th.

JLS are premiering the 2nd single from 'Jukebox' on Monday 19th September. It'll probably be released in November.

This is exactly what I have been lamenting about for weeks and weeks. Now everyone and their mothers will be releasing singles, so Alex's comeback better be pretty damn awesome for her to really make a splash...

She can't come out with a generic track or she'll just fall flat on her face.

Unfortunately, she's stuck with idiots who apparently "cannot pick between 2 amazing songs" ...possibly the most hilarious reasoning ever.

Can you imagine how long we'd have to wait for a video with these lot in charge of her career? ...almost makes me wish she remained with Syco. The way they're handling the Sugababes is atrocious...they keep pushing back their single while the video is out there...

Looks like the album is going to be released in 2012 aswell...they can't even be bothered to have a penned down release date for it...there's possibly no plans to release it this year, anyway,

You're right, they have had enough time to pick between the two.

I've given up expecting the single to come soon now. It'll come when it comes I guess.

Loick Essien (RCA) is releasing a single on the 6th of November. Can't imagine Alex releasing in late October now so she'll probably go the week after...

Oh...and his album is out early 2012. Diana Vickers and Hurts also released their albums early 2010...seems like this label doesn't like releasing during the Q4..

It depends what your definition of "soon" is.

I would be flabbergasted if we don't hear it before the end of the month.

I think we're all frustrated by the wait, but it's just silly to suggest that RCA would shelve the release.

Can we just recap the calibre of people Alex has been working with? These are just the songwriters/producers that have been confirmed via their Twitter accounts or from Alex herself...

Clearly Alex and the record company have spent a lot of time and money putting this record together.

Why on earth would it be shelved?

Alex herself was beaming in that Manchester Pride interview, she's clearly happy with what has been done.

For whatever reason, we haven't heard the first single yet, but I am expecting big things from this album.

It doesn't matter who you work with - leona lewis's echo had a brilliant list of people involved, if the strategy is wrong it will flop - simple as.

She could end up releasing in the most competitive period - and if she goes up against someone like JLS she will lose, plus its going to be interesting about the x factor slot, because I suspect for November they have al been taken as you have soooo many x factor acts releasing in that period - i think we will have cher, one direction, leona lewis, olly, JLS all on November shows. Pixie lott is also releasing in November and I reckon she will be given a slot. So her x factor performance may not be when they want it which is what has caused the delay as you have 6 slots taken already and I think they will want some non-x factor artists, will have to wait and see what happens - either way it is ludicrous to spend this long picking between songs, either they are covering for something else - e.g. when their x factor slot is, or they simply do not have a clue what they are doing.

Either way I think releasing in November is going to be tough.

Don't think we'll get it next week too, to be honest. Alexandra's going new york this weekend,maybe she's going with the "film video first and then single premiere" plan.

Hopefully she's off to New York to film the video. She hasn't been tweeting a lot lately and I actually don't mind. I'd rather she not tweet unless she has some news because the wait is really dragging now.

I got the impression the New York trip was a shopping trip as she is going with her sister.

When you Google 'X Factor' her name comes up as one of the most searched related subjects. The only contestants to make the list are Alex and Leona. The rest are either US or UK judges so she's still searched a lot. More than Matt and JLS that's for sure
