Strictly Pseudonyms 2011!
jiroos
13-09-2011
Now that we've had time for this year's pairings to sink in, the next logical step would be (of course!) to start creating the inevitable pseudonyms!

Here are my offerings:

Brulu
Jalex
Anancy
Robita
Vedwina
Hollart
Chelpas

Dankat
Robola
Flussel
Naudley
Jakris
Haliona
Erinory

I know, some are not bad and some are downright rubbish - hence why I now open the floor to my fellow DS'ers!!!

There was an earlier thread on this subject, but I've mislaid it. Anyway, some neologisms (I think that would be the correct term) have already been coined - The Hartem or ♥'em (love it, allgrownup!) appreciation thread has been up and running since Saturday, while Robin and Anita have already decided on Team Dobbin, according to Robin's tweets and Facebook status.

Yes, the ones so far are:

Team Hart'em
Team Dobbin (used by Robin on Twitter)
Team Savola (used by Robbie on Twitter)

Not sure what Robin's up to - does he not know Dobbin was a carthorse?

Well, any old horse really, not necessarily just a carthorse. Maybe a thoroughbred? Or maybe just a self-deprecating joke that will stand them in good stead?

Hmmm....

Some quick translations:

Brulu A new type of coffee - especially for the smallest room.
Jalex Industrial disinfectant
Anancy Town in France
Robita Health food - often seen at Wimbledon
Vedwina New sort of processed cheese.
Hollart Flat, uninspiring and unintelligible paintings.
Chelpas Mexican pancake.

Dankat domestic animal repellent for gardens.
Robola New on line gambling site.
Flussel Tinned milk - of marine orrigin.
Naudley village in the West Midlands
Jakris No. 1 this week in Delhi!
Haliona Condition of the mouth, throat and hair
Erinory A place to keep your erins.

Just my 2p.

Now if he were paired with La Dell'olio, from what I've seen, it would be quite appropriate!!!

Hope so. Because Anita may not like the horse reference or the old reference.
