Yes, I think her name is Natalie Dormer. She was (the brunette) Anne Boleyn.

Just catchig up with this on Freeview+. Pity I've read a spoiler that I haven't reached yet, but hey ho! Looking good so far. For those who like Torchwood, who wishes someone would tie Russell T Davies to a chair and make him watch t repeatedly until he realises how to make spooky drama (and this is from someone wlho loves Torchwood).

Also nice to have a young, black male character who doesn't feel the need to speak 'street': 'Bruv', 'yeah, yeah, yeah, innit' etc.

Carry on the good work.

Just watched it again and glad It's not just me! Can't put my finger on why though...

Looking forward to the next one

Watched this before I went to bed last night and it gave me nightmares LOL which I don't normally have.
So I think I will now watch the rest in Day time.

Going to stick with it even though I really found the first episode confusing, just couldn't grasp the narrative, still enjoyed it though.....the ash is a bit 'Silent Hill'...........

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Will wait and see. I think, for me, shows like 'Being Human', which I loved from the first, kind of raises my expectation for pilot shows. I'll have to be more patient.

Spot on, I agree.

These two were great.

The vicar and the one eyed man though...not so much. Kind of distracting. Which is a shame, because it looked very good otherwise.

Will be watching again.

I enjoyed this. Good script, acting, direction and editing, the correct pace and nice to see ghosts done rather well. Probably sensible to have that character explaining what the Fades are in great chunks of dialogue (eg the sitting on the roof scene). Better than stringing out those revelations for weeks on end drip drip fashion. They can now get on with the plot. I'll watch this again.

I recognised the actor Johnny Harris from the film London to Brighton. He was very good in that too. (It's not a jolly film, btw - not family viewing).

beautiful pilot

i dare say that the fades pilot was the best pilot i have seen in a long time. well acted and above all visually beautiful. especially the scenes where the ash falls like snow flakes.

the ideas so far are not brand new, but its engaging and exciting - feels like a much more adult show than the ones that are currently so popular in the us (vampire diaries, teen wolf, the secret circle and the like).

Yes, but finding it somewhat disjointed and difficult to get in to.

I didn't love it last week, but it did seem smoother than ep.2. I'll probably give it another go next week, we'll see.

Enjoyed this again tonight, it's funny and quite scary (for me anyway). Thought it was all going a bit 'Buffy' at the party, glad it didn't, leaves me wanting to watch next week.

I am watching and will stick with it. Interesting and spooky with a dose of ghoul in there. Wonder how the ghosts turn into flesh eating zombie creatures?

The trailer for next week, oh my!!!

I'm enjoying it with my teenage sons. We especially like the humour (and the dead birds!)

It's a very good Horror/Sci Fi with a dash of humour thrown in. I'm liking this.

I'm also very glad this hasn't been hyped to death. I prefer the slow burn of good feedback.

This show trounces the memory of the appalling recent Survivors remake.

Nice not to be talked down to for a change.

I'm enjoying this - although I didn't like the guy at the beginning describing what happened in the last episode - it made it more comedic rather than serious.

Didn't mind the 1st episode but thought there was too much humour/silliness last night, getting a bit silly, from the minute it started with the lad saying what had happened in the 1st episode, feels like a CBBC show with a bit of gore and adult themes thrown in for good measure.

Won't be watching it anymore.

I agree with the posts about the "what's happened so far" narrative at the beginning. What were the writers thinking? I think it's a big mistake to make it so "sixth former" focussed. I find it hard to identify with that and I really don't see why a post watershed programme should feel the need to. Their presence makes it all a bit silly.

Am really enjoying this, the first 2 episodes have been very good and there is a lot of potential. I disagree with those saying they didn't like Mac's 'what's happened so far', I thought it was an excellent idea and exactly the type of thing you would expect his character to do.

Looking forward to next week's and the rest of the series
