Anyone got round to checking this album?

Despite zero promo and hype, it's set to make the top 10 over here.

Not sure about zero hype/promotion, it's had articles/interviews reviews etc in some national newspapers (Daily Mirror in their weekly entertainment section, Sunday Times album reviews were ones I've seen) which is more than most artists get.

Probably not the sort of thing I'd buy though. The Sunday Times review was also particularly scathing.

I just picked it up from Amazon. I'd only heard 'Miracle Worker' before this morning and I wasn't really a fan of that song though I do like the video.

So far the only song I really like is 'Energy' but I'm just on track 8 so I've got a way to go. I mostly bought it due to Joss Stone's involvement so I plan on giving it a few playthroughs at least. For some reason though I think most of the songs I've heard so far would sound much better live than they do on the record.

Joss Stone attracted me to it as well. At the moment, i can't say i am loving any of the songs but i am loving the sound and creatiivity from it so much. I think several songs would be better live as well.
