There where 4 males dancers left when Alex and Edwina where about to be told who their partners would be, Tessa told Vincent and Anton I think it was to step away as they wouldn't be paired with their partners until later, so that left just James and Artem to be with either Alex and Edwina.

Once it was announced that James would be paired with Alex, Edwina was surely right to think she would have Artem as her partner and there was obviously some cock up as Brucie intervened and Artem ended up with Holly. So what went wrong?

I think the made her wait because then everybody then think she was going to be paired with Anton before she she learnt she was with Vincent- just a guess

I could not work it out as by Anton's face it was clearly for real that he thought she was getting Artem

Must have been either Tessa messing up or a production mess up generally. One of those "breakdown in communication" things probably.

Or it was a deliberate trick by the producers to give us a talking point (I hate being cynical but that's what it probably was, if Tess had got it wrong then she would have been told in her earpiece and she would have corrected her mistake)

Its a shame, because Artem would have been good for her, but it looks like they wanted to keep some "hot couples"/pairings.

Who is she with again, Vincent? If so he is very good, he tought Rachel some brilliant moves.

They're trying to go for the showmance angle again this year, which is why they seem to have put Holly with Artem (and they're also trying to create something from Harry & Aliona, and getting Chelsee to proclaim that she's single).

Yep Edwina's with the Italian Stallion - I must confess, I thought they'd go for the personality clash and put her with James (and Vince with fellow Italian Nancy) but seems that Brendan & Lulu are doing that job for them!

I know I'm probably reading too much into it but Artem looked confused when everyone else thought he was getting Edwina. She went to hug him and he held back as if he knew he wasn't her partner and couldn't encourage her, where every other dancer went into orgasm when their zleb partners were announced.

I have read, told by someone in the know , It was set up by 4 people who planned it, to make Artem panic by thinking he had been lumbered by getting Edwina, and I think that two of them were standing behind him at the time , but as we saw he didnt react to the joke, and it rebounded on them . NOT FUNNY!!

not to mention disrespectful to suggest that nobody wanted to get Edwina. Not nice.
