Switching from 1 LNB Feed to 2
Bryan Spink

Hi!
Got myself a FOXSAT HDR replacing an original FOXSAT and I have set it all up using a single loop through feed. I have 2 dishes (19.2 & 28.2) feeding in to it through a DiSEqC adapter.

I've now got myself some extra cable to link in to the 2nd feed from the 28.2 dish,

A couple of questions:
1) What's the best way of connecting if any?
I'm assuming 28.2 Only into LNB 1 and 19.2/28.2 into LNB 2.
2) Will I need to do a complete rescan of non-freesat channels (and freesat?) or start from scratch when I install the 2nd cable

I have Raydon's bundle installed.

Thanks

Bryan

I think it might just be a case of doing a Freesat Tune i.e going through the setup wizard, as None Freesat mode doesn't really care if you are using one feed or two feeds as you are unable to record two channels at once in None Freesat mode, I could be wrong though as I've not had my Foxsat-HDR long and set it up in two Feed mode from the start.

There should be no problem in recording two at once in non-freesat mode.

The OP's box will need re-setting to dual cable mode - Enter setup menu and press Red Green Yellow Blue Green Yellow Blue - In the secret menu change the connection type to Two Cables (same).

To setup the diseqc switch see here

I did not know that, as I've only had the box since Sat and nat had any time to play around with non-freesat mode I had no idea that it was capable of twin recording in non-freesat mode, you learn something new everyday lol.

You live close to where I grew up (Norton) .

If you reboot after entering non-freesat mode you can record two HD channels without them being encrypted and if one is BBC-HD or BBC1-HD you can watch the other while recording two. If you are recording both BBC-HD channels you can watch any third channel as well.

Only snags

You have to initiate the recordings manually and you can't record in Freesat mode at the same time.

Afraid so the other way was a factory reset and has the same effect.
