If I was Kelly's career advisor, I'd tell her to get some fookin' A levels and go to fookin' university. It doesn't matter how brainy she is, she's not going to get a job as a rocket scientist until she's got a bit of fookin' paper proving it.
Shame she was too dim to realise that before becoming super clever.

I'm guessing that even though the powers seem a bit rubbish now they're going to be useful throughout the series?
They wouldn't randomly just make Kelly a rocket scientist would they?

Can someone explain to me how Alicia and the new guy managed to free themselves from the noose after they killed the girl who could freeze time?

I think we were supposed to infer that Rudy 2 (Emo Rudy?) shows up and rescues them just in time. Though I found that whole scene implausible. The basic physics/logistics don't work.

Loved the first two series of Misfits and thought a new character would keep it fresh. But...just isn't gelling for me. The writing seemed weaker, not sure about Rudy and yeah, the new powers are pretty crap. The powers I'll forgive for now as it seems the Broker is going to feature more heavily so maybe they'll trade powers again - or at least Kelly's as now the (pretty funny) joke has been done, it is a bit redundant. Rudy - could grow. Don't hate him. Just think there is nothing suble or layered about him (unlike all the other characters - except perhaps Curtis whom I never really took to). This could of course improve.

But the writting - just no where near as funny, engaging or clever as previously. Still good, still has it's moments. But there are some major clangers like the chair/hanging scene as above.

Hopefully it'll pick up. And its still better than so much on TV.

For those worried that the first episode was a bit Rudy-heavy, the second episode focuses on Curtis so I'm guessing at least for five of the eight episodes there'll be a focus on each of the characters, a bit like in series 1.

Over all this was a great opening epsiode.

I do like that the writers have hit the re set button and taken the show back to its roots. Series 2 became too over the top for me.

I can see plot lines coming up in which each of their powers will play a key role, perhaps not obvious at this point in time. For example Curtis could date a man while in female form in order to gain information.

I thought it would end up like Teachers which rapidly went downhill in my view after the departure of Andrew Lincoln - as many believed would happen with Misfits when Robert left. This hasn't happened (at least not yet).

Couldn't stand Rudy - he completely ruined the episode for me.

It's great as ever! It didn't take long for me to get used to Rudy at all, I think he's an excellent replacement for Nathan.

I wonder if Kelly's power will come in handy at some point this series.

There was the feeling that the writers were trying too hard to have him out gross Nathan. Unfortunately, where Nathan had an underlying charm and vulnerability, Rudy does not. The arse bandit joke was done to death.

Having said that, the show is still good and still had some great moments.

I thought they were trying to clearly show that Rudy was a new character and not a replacement Nathan by highlighting the fact that whilst Nathan talked the talk he was clearly a lying virgin (at least at first). Rudy on the other hand was actually someone who was taliking from experience and had had sex, and not just "basic" sex but everything on the menu.

As far as the rest of the series goes, it seems that Seth the superpower dealer is important, we saw him looking at the photo of himself and a girl and then yelling down the phone at someone to look for a particular power he wants to find. Hmm...
From what online spoilers are saying he's looking for someone

Really enjoyed and after watching the Vegas online adventuer, really didn't miss Nathan at all.

I'm going to try and come up with a lasting name for the two Rudys so for this week I'm calling them Crudy and Prudy to reflect their attitudes to sex...

Good to see Misfits has made a return. I don't miss Nathan at the moment the new guy filled the void for me. Also, "what the **** is brunch?"

I read that it got 1.1m if you include E4+1. TOWIE trumped it, but it's not bad ratings for a Sunday night.

Well the best thing about that was next week's trailer. And Emma's hotness.

What the bloody hell was that? That's the only Misfits episode I remember being totally pointless and boring. I'm so confused.
