Hi.

I currently have a silver box and thought I would get myself a black box from ebay.

Got the box home today and it won't fire up. No lights, no disc activity. Have tried a couple of different leads and used the same leads on the silver box and the power leads are fine.

Am I missing something or as I fear its dead.

Thanks

ebay doorstop it seems.

you can try holding down the power button as this may kickstart it. but I fear a dead PSU.

yep best bet.

a black box when first powered on, flashes it's light for a bit then the blue one flashes until fully booted.

Sorry to veer slightly off topic here, but I thought Silver box users were getting upgraded to black boxes by BT anyway. Or is it just 'gold' subscribers who are?...
