The Saturdays confirm new single.

The Saturdays' confirmed a 3rd single before the album's released in an interview.. Forgot who it was with now, perhaps it was digital spy? Anyway, They also basically it's going to be a ballad too. (One big hoorah from every sats fan, We love their ballads!).

So we have that to look forward to next month I believe.

Anyhow, Do you also think they've found a winning formula? OK, So AFU may not to be to everyones tastes.. BUT, They've kept top 5 for 2 weeks in a row (almost) which is something of an unknown for the saturdays to have strong sales (other than on the monday, tuesday and wednesday).
They also confirmed that AFU had their biggest opening day sales, ever!

So should they return to this dance formula again in the future? They pull it off well! (Well, mainly rochelle). Perhaps that's just put everything I said on the Appreciation Thread that I didn't think they were gaining fans/more sales to bed. Thank God!

I'm not a fan of The Saturdays' ballads. Much prefer their upbeat, dancey tracks but think it's good that they're releasing something lower tempo - bit more variety

The song is called Heart Takes Over and is expected to be premiered at the end of September (with a mid-November release).

For me its a risk releasing the album on the back of a thirs single, i think the album should have been released on the back of the 2nd single. I dont mind the saturdays i dont love or hate them, and while they have had a few relatively big singles they have yet to turn that into album success, they need this album to do well and i think releasing it on the back of a third single leaves with very little left to promote the album.

Looking forward to hearing their next single.
I love The Saturdays and can't wait untill the new album comes out.

The Saturdays won't be doing dance-y tracks for much longer tbh. In a couple of years dance-pop won't be popular anymore.

Wow!They are really going for those album first week sales, aren't they?An uptempo lead single with promo, another uptempo follow-up official single with promo and now a ballad as the third single and ALL that before the album!!

The downfall to their success was releasing their second album after only one single. NOBODY these days can have a succesful album off the back of just one single unless you're a mega star. Even Britney Spears can't get away with it. The fact Forever Is Over was weak and didn't do well in the charts is probably another reason why Wordshaker flopped so much.

Three singles is perfect. Two uptempos plus a ballad in time for Christmas with a high sales climate should earn them great album sales. Of course an X-Factor performance would be fantastic but I doubt it.

Looking forward to hearing this I was hoping it was Turn Myself In but I hope that song'll be on the album.

I really get the feeling they're getting really obsessed about the whole #1 thing and are just throwing singles out rapidly in the hope of eventually managing it. Just my take on it.

I think it's far from a risk, and a great idea, especially if they're looking for a number 1.
When an artist releases an album, a good example, Lady Gaga's Born This Way, and they promote a particular song before the albums release, i.e: You & I. The day that album comes out on iTunes, people are going to (if not buy the whole album) buy that track. However, because it's not had airplay, not everybody has heard it. Gradually overtime, people are going to slowly buy the song (say 50 downloads a week or so), and when Lady Gaga chooses to release You & I as a single, most of her fans already have got it. Why would they want to go and buy it again? Same with the Saturdays. They're going to promote a single, get it big (hype it up, make tv appearences), then release it, whilst it's not avalible on any other format. The reason they haven't got to #1 yet, is because there has been bigger songs to compete with, when they choose to release their singles.

They said themselves that the whole no.1 thing has been over publicised, they arent that desperate.

I think management have finally got their arse in gear and are doing the norm (at long last).. 2-3 lead singles.

So obsessed with the #1 thing that they released 'Notorious' on air-on sale and barely promoted 'All Fired Up'?

I'm sure this song is a ballad anyway, as Una is pregnant and I doubt will be able to do any dance routines!

Being pregnant doesn't stop you dancing at the stage where she is i assume.

I wonder if releasing another mini-album alongside the new album would be a good idea? For any new fans that are considering buying the new album. It would only have to be a limited edition, say something like 20,000 copies.

Something like:
01 If This Is Love
02 Up (Radio Edit)
03 Issues
04 Just Can't Get Enough (Radio Mix)
05 Work (Phil Tan Radio Edit)
06 Forever Is Over
07 Ego (Single Mix)
08 Missing You
09 Higher (featuring Flo Rida)
10 One Shot (Starsmith Mix)
11 If This Is Love (New Remix)

It would only have to be £3.99 or something, £3 for digital stores. For the sake of new fans buying the new album and thinking "oh this is quite good, I might buy their previous stuff, oh wait there's like three other albums already, wtf is Wordshaker..."

Actually Natasha in Atomic Kitten filmed their video for Tide Is High when she was pregnant and she did the dance routines. Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8CMsQ-p1ls&ob=av2n

Not a bad idea. They could also hand out copies to every first year business/economics student in my university (student ID card required of course to prove you are a first year and a new Sats fan) It'll help build up the fanbase

I think it should have been released after the second single too. Chances are if they release an album after the third single there will only be one more single.

I like the title Turn Myself In but haven't heard it and may prefer their forthcoming ballad Heart Takes Over, if Issues and Chasing Lights album track Vulnerable are anything to go by.

Shadow2009 thinks late September, which seems too soon as All Fired Up has only been in the charts for 2 weeks here. My bright hope is that I hear Turn Myself In and Heart Takes Over, and find I prefer Heart Takes Over.

My guess is it might be early October before we get to hear it.
