I have been looking on Gsm arena and in the specs of phones, it says that all phones do Hspda, but it does not say which phones do Hspa+, I know the Samsung Galaxy s2 does , but does the I phone 4 ? as seeing as they only ever show just a 3g symbol its hard to know ? is there any sites that do show this ?

Is it only the 3 network that has this at the moment ? will Orange have this when they join up at long last with 3 and T mobile, I think Orange now has the slowest mobile broadband speed ? On my other phone as I said in another thread I just got it on 3 and the speeds are excellent.

Very few handsets do HSPA+ but more will support it soon. Iphone 4 doesn't maybe the iphone 5 will who knows.

Three will be 80% HSPA+ by the end of the year and the rest 1 or 2 months after that, they are following a rollout plan at the moment. It's already on a large part of the network.

I think O2 and some others may support it, but not to the same degree of Three, they have kept quiet about it, which usually means they aren't doing anything to shout about and it's not rolled out that much, but due to them not saying anything publicly we don't know.

Three is the only network to say what's out there and when the full rollout will be complete.

They don't say where they have it though. Is it the whole network? I can't see their hspa+ coverage details anywhere.

Do you get the H+ symbol? You need to be in an upgraded area. Out of interest what speeds do you get? 4-5Mbps? Also these speed tests are crap, change the server and it can increase your speed a lot.

On some servers on the speedtest.net app I get 3Mbps and on others I get 5Mbps. It's worth trying several speedtests from different sites / servers.

I think it will also be better when the backhaul is upgraded.

Its not on their website at the moment, do any of the sony phones do it ? its about time Apple brought their I phones upto date, I dont know if they have it in the states , but we do here and it would be nice for the phone to show this.

I went into a 3 shop and asked them about Hspa +, they dont even know what it is, and they said they dont share with T mobile, so no hope there.

When the networks merge, does that mean T mobile and Orange will get this ?

When they merge properly yes, in the US they call HSPA+ 4G !!! I think, even though it's not proper 4G.

They have lots of handsets made by HTC and others branded as 4G handsets. I think that's the case anyway unless I'm mistaken, which I may be as I don't have a great knowledge of the US market.

If the I phone 5 does not do it then 3 will be no better than the other networks for speed ?

My speeds are upto 9 down 1.4 up and without Hspa + its 3 down 0.7 up but averaging between 6 and 7

WIth so many US networks offering HSPA+ and heavy promotion I would say it's very likely they iphone 5 will support it.

And because the likes of O2 have delayed 4G auctions by threatening to sue Ofcom saying the spectrum would be illegal etc it means we'll need HSPA+ to fill the gap until 2013 or 2014 when 4G gets rolled out.

I've got a E586 mifi device which according to the stats page says it is receiving HSPA+.

Does this mean I'm in a HSPA+ area, or am I getting HSDPA but the reading is wrong?
