I'm looking for a slimline dvd player (no more than 4mm high - I have limited shelf space) and I want one with 2 scart sockets so that I can put it after my Panasonic E85 DVD recorder. I also want a picture quality as good as the Pana, multi-regional, and it must have a feature like Samsung's "EZ View" or "Screen Fit" whereby a letterbox movie can be zoomed in slightly to get rid of the black bars at top and bottom. Can anyone suggest a model please?

i assume you mean 4cm high,also i am not familiar with ez view,does this take out borders on a 2.35:1 film on a widescrren tv,if so why?????.this feature can only work by taking out picture from the sides so you would be losing some of the film .

Hi digi al, sorry, I meant 4cm. I don't mind losing some of the sides because letterbox (2.35:1) is a ludicrously narrow size for a TV, even a widescreen TV (1.78:1), that's why I want a player with EZ-View but with 2 Scarts....

the pioneer dv565 has two scarts and is very good quality,but i don't know if it has the zoom function you want.higher end sony's tend to have two scarts,but again i do not know about the zoom function.

samsung dvd players are very very slim and have ez-view
