I reckon he's a grower and a strong contender to step on a few smug toes in there.

(if this thread remains empty then at least I did my bit)

Hmmm, an original use of an appreciation thread. Hop off back the main forum before I set the dogs on you.

I find Anton's DR performances entertaining even though he seems like he's studied Victor.

And I can believe he's actually had some success with the ladies.

Now then, said I was willing to be enlightened on tonight show he did showed some promise, good judgement when talking about Aaron, I think he will be one of first to pick up on Rebbeccas schemes, just my view point at the time it was written.

Sorry if you got offended....

No problem. You are not the first person to come into an appreciation thread with a sceptical eye. Indeed, poor Dennis's appreciation thread consisted entirely of taking the mick. But on the whole I think people are entitled to see an appreciation thread as time out from fighting.

Anton seems to have had a reasonable couple of days, so let's hope it continues. I have never believed that he spends hours a day talking about the girls' bodies with Jay and Aden.

I think Anton's gonna be a grower! There's a lot of hate at the mo but if he keeps enjoying himself the way he's doing he may just melt the ice out there!

He entered the house as a Victor wannabe, but has turned out to be all talk and no trousers.

To be fair I think Victor was all talk and no trousers.....and I say this with Victor being my all time favourite Housemate! but that was part of Victor's appeal! He talked a great deal and his discussions with the Jungle cats gave the impression that they actually had game plans....but can anyone actually remember them put anything into action? It was more about his interaction with the viewer and the back and forth observations with Jay that made victor such a treat to watch and also gave the illusion that they where doing things to affect what was going on....but they weren't actually "doing" anything at all!

However In regards to Anton, although he went into the house inspired by Victor's game (cos apparently he's a big Victor fan) & creating the "wolfpack" as a homage to the Jungle cats etc, he IS actually putting in work. Gaining allied nomination saftey, Putting HMs in his pocket, stirring up trouble and stepping out of the frame etc. So he deserves Kudos points for that. It's unfair he keeps getting called a "poor mans Victor" because he's playing a better "game" IMO. Victor's Jungle cats was like a laurel & Hardy/3 stooges scenario with things falling apart around them. Which was great to watch from our perspective.
Also for all we know Anton could be explaining to the viewer his tactics in the diaryroom but BB may be selective in what they're showing.
Although there's next to zero chance of him replacing Victor in my favourite HM slot I still find his game interesting viewing..

Fair points Bluntbob.
I would like to add that yesterday in another thread i did say he was starting to show more. Think he'd be very vunrable in an eviction contest though.

Bit more time to add more.

Thinking about it, you are right Bluntbob, Victor was all talk and no trousers and that was indeed part of his appeal.
We laughed at him at times as well as with many other times.
Also, the only time he tried to put a plan into action was against Shell, and look what happened there.

Haha! Also when Michelle and Emma were put back into the house their jungle cat meeting of deflatedness that their plans had been dashed was hilarious!
...with Victor dressed as a clown and Jason dressed as little bo peep!

As a Victor fan its nice to see Anton giving a wink and homage to the big man

I didn't like Anton to start with, but he is definitely growing on me. I think a lot of people are maybe taking him far too seriously, and don't see his tongue firmly planted in his cheek.

I personally think that Anton has been telling them all stories just to shock them & to get reactions out of them.

If you watch him carefully, when he is telling his story, he has a slight grin while talking as if to say " Do these people seriously believe all this shite i'm talking? Oh well, let me spice it up a little more hehe".

As a woman myself, he has said nothing to offend me. He hasn't spoken about my daughter, sister, mother or even my granny. He hasn't mentioned any female by name. His talk is just talk.
I have heard a lot more and a lot worse when out having a drink with friends.
Go to any 'Ann sommers party' or Hen night and the way women act & talk about men?? Anton's talk would be considered very tame & mild in comparison.

He isn't nasty or malicious to any of the HM's in there & the HM's all liked him until they were evicted,
Personally, even those like Maisy only changed their opinion by the outside pressure. Look how they are jumping on Aden to turn against him.

He has kept us entertained & i back him all the way.
All the hate people are going on with is just a 'Follow the leader' as it's all the same 'the way he talks about women bla bla bla'.

If he was so nasty, do you really think he would have given his 10 pound towards Alex getting her false hair?

OK i know he won't win but it would be great to see him in final 3 at least.

He's slowly becoming my favourite. I actually don't like him all that much but he needs to be in the house for a little longer to stir it up. The house without Jay and Anton seems a bit boring as we saw this week. Anton is actually very funny. I like Jem but I hope she goes this week.

Hopefully Anton can bag another week in the house!
After that I'm not really bothered as the environment will slow down during the final 2 weeks so will be duller by default.
