Fairly similar situation then. IIRC that album had all her singles so far and I think three new songs, an album track (Outrageous - but then that was going to be a single) and some remixes. The Sats could do the same.

But their split had nothing to do with their pregnancies. The dynamic was already broken by the time they came back together to work on their 3rd album partly due due to Melanie C's readiness to move on with her solo career. And their pregnancies only justified the break they needed to take after the tour. If anything, Geri's departure in the middle of their US leg of their tour could have been the reason of the band's split, have they decided to take a break at the end of the tour, pregnancy or not.

Yep! Not sure why people are automatically thinking a GH is on its way. It wouldn't be a smart move when they are still establishing themselves. And if a GH was to come I'd think it's the record company making sure they're milking the band while they can on the suspicion it might split anytime soon.

You're joking, right? Una has been a singer/songwriter for at least ten years, she's an amazing singer. Her tone might not be to everyones taste but you can't say she can't sing.

I just love how people assume because The Sats are a girl group that none of them can really sing. Anyone who's seen them on the Live Lounge will know they're one of the best vocally girl groups we've had in a long time.

Una is 29 years old, she's a mature woman, and she's been with her partner a long time. She's balanced work and a personal life for a long time. She'll continue to do great

I think Wonderland will be ruined by Jodi's pregnancy. They havn't even established themselves yet. Whereas The Saturdays have made it and are tabloid regulars. They can still succeed.

TBH I wasn't too surprised Wonderland were dropped. They seemed like nice girls but their music was rather bland and nothing special IMO.

Yeah most people have never heard of them or their music even though one of them was a bit famous already.

Yeah, their singles all flopped and their album went to #8 but ended up only selling about 40K. They had a ton of money invested into them and they were put together two years ago and got "unleashed" this year but they were marketed totally wrong and their material was nowhere near interesting enough. Plus Jodi got pregnant so I think she just gave up on the band and wants to focus on being a Mum now. And since her husband is also their manager (Kian from Westlife) he was hardly going to work with four other girls without her.

I gave a comment on Una being pregnant in the Saturdays' Appreciation Thread. Anyway, much as I like Una, I find Vanessa and Rochelle the best singers.

As Una is a talented guitarist, she could have a different future in the medium-term, such as her own MySpace page promoting her own material. She could do this intermittently whilst looking after her child.
