Does anyone think Kasabian might just become big in America as Adele.

No. Adele has the biggest-selling single of the year in the US. Kasabian won't manage that.

They could still be really big though, just not as big as Adele, if you know what I mean.

But they're not even that big in the UK???? I like them but they seem to face some sort of antipathy from hipster types or trendy media hacks.

Arent they? Their last album was a big seller and they're now doing a big arena tour. Seem pretty big to me.

I kind of like them and don't, they've made some decent records but tend to veer towards that horrible swaggering laddish indie stuff in the style of Oasis, Ian Brown and such, I find it very hard to like a band that does that its also something that has never really gone over well in the states despite being a pretty succesfull formula over here.

I can't see them end up as big as Adele, certainly not stateside, bearing in mind they have been around for the best part of a decade, I can't help think that if they were going to go crazy Adele big they would have. Thats 3 albums now, and the last got to number 1 in the UK and I don't think even troubled the US charts, and it even felt quite.... American.

So, in conclusion, no.

Rubbish. Their last album was a massive seller. They've headlined all the major festivals in UK and Europe and have a rather good album coming out also. Plus now they fill arenas also.

They might just be bland and generic enough to make it in the States.

I don't think they want to be as big as Adele.
