Hi guys, I made this the other day and it is the most delicious moist chocolate cake I've ever had. Took some into work and everyone agreed. It was very easy too, you just mix everything together. I didn't make the chocolate icing, I made peanut butter icing instead. Here's the recipe

Think I'll make that one on Sunday...Looks lovely.

I seem to be making a lot of cakes lately but the tops always crack open...Anyone know why?

This sometimes happens to mine too, no idea why, I just tend to cover it in icing or buttercream so no one notices

You can also make chocolate cake in a mug in the microwave if you don't want to make a full cake.

I use a bowl as a mug can over spill.

Just checking the ingredients, can you use sunflower oil instead of veg oil? Is there a difference when cooking a cake?

That does look lovely OP. Thanks for posting. Looks similar to one of Nigella's choc cakes.
Although I'll make the icing for this one with milk choc, always do - find dark choc too strong for icing. I don't mind putting dark choc or any kind of choc INTO a cake though.

The micro pud looks good too Kitty - ta!

Thanks Kitty, I'll have a bash when I get a craving where I can't wait half and hour for a cake to bake!
