I love this song, it could be the British 'Love the Way You Lie' - Emeli is fantastic on it. Can't wait for her album.

What do you think?

Sounds like Love The Way You Lie Part III to me. I wish people would start using some new chord progressions.

Not a fan of green but the amazing Emeli Sande attracted me to this. Her voice is ever so versatile if you compare it to her collabs with Chipmunk and Wiley to her recent hit with Heaven and to now with this.

It's sounds promising. I don't get a Love the way you lie at all. Couldn't be any different.

The more I listen to this song, the more I like it. Emeli Sande's voice is actually really good and she's great on this. Also I'm a big fan of Pro Green and for me this sounds like a continuation of "Goodnight", a track off of his first album, "Alive Till I'm Dead", the way he's rapping about his father and their relationship. Personally I really like this more emotional side of him, possibly more so than his more tongue-in-cheek side.

The only real gripe I have with this song is that it seems to have a very similar if not the same chord progression as "Written In The Stars" by Tinie Tempah, but apart from that I reckon this could be the No.1 this guy deserves.

Professor Green ft Emeli are up against Labrinth and Rihanna for the No.1 spot on this week's Vodafone Big Top 40 show. Will their collaboration make it to the top spot?

The chord progression of Born This Way is actually closer to LTWYL's than Read All About It's is.

Read All About It is very similar to LTWYL, I agree, due to the instrumental having heavy drums, guitar, piano, and the strong melodious female hook, but the chord progression is actually different, to be fair.

I think it's between Rihanna and Labrinth for the Big Top 40 Show. Rihanna's just had her music video released, so her sales will be increasing. Labrinth and Professor Green are both new releases, so will have to climb as far up as they can by 6pm. Labrinth has been getting more pre-orders than Professor Green, so I'm sure he'll be higher initially. Although Professor Green and Emeli are performing on the X Factor, in the evening, so I think they'll overtake Labrinth Sunday night/Monday morning.

I love Pro Green, but this song is being overhyped. It's his raps that have always made songs unique, but there's nothing interesting about this one. I know he wrote it about his dad and that's important for him, but that just makes it seem typical and bland. A wrapper writing about past family struggles? MADNESS!
Emeli's part is alright, though.

I LOVE this song! His best to date. I can relate to alot of the lyrics and I like that it's more personal than most of his previous stuff! The contribution from Emeli Sandé makes this a sure fire Number 1 imo! And to top it off, they're performing on The X Factor tomorrow night. Hard to believe he'll be the first rapper to perform on the show as a guest!

As for The Big Top 40 Show, who cares - it's the Official Chart that counts!!!

I know why she has..... but I wish she hadn't, personally. She's far too good for Green and next year will prove that.

Issue I have with this song is that it's so blatantly trying to pull a Love The Way You Lie. Professor Green even sounds like he's doing an Eminem impression.

they have worked on songs before together (co writing) and she said she really likes his style of work,

admittidly i like her better than him but they have produced a good track together

i agree that he sounds like hes trying to make it the new ltwyl (by rihanna and eminem)

I can't see Emeli ever stopping to work with rappers tbh. Her album might be full of solo songs, but she'll still write hooks for UK rappers I think. She's done it so much already, I don't think she'll suddenly stop, especially since she's so popular for it now.

I really like this song, but only Emeli's parts, I really can't stand rap and it's all that is in the charts at the moment.

I haven't really thought about it being similar to Love the Way You Lie, but I can see why it is similar.

I can understand why with some songs, like Price Tag, On the Floor, etc, people prefer it without the rapping, but it doesn't make sense with Read All About It. The rapping IS the song. Without the rapping you'd have a 20 second song.

It's not rocket science - just extend the song/verses by 3 minutes so Emeli can sing it on her own . She's amazing. It's crazy that the UK now has 2 amazing singers called Adele

I love this song but it sounds just like Eminem and Rihanna Love The Way You Lie. I'm much preferring Labrinth's Earthquake at the moment and hoping that it will beat Pro Green to number one (probably won't though).
