I mean, come on! I know he was loved in Season 11 but he behaved disgracefully this time! How on earth is he the fans favourite?!

Sorry but I honestly don't understand the Jeff hate on this forum, I'm glad he won.

Because Big Jeff has more fans than anyone else.

Jeff has more fans which means more votes, I voted 10 times for him, I think he is great and I dont understand the hate and bashing he gets.

It might have something to do with him being an arrogant, self-centred, self-entitled, nasty bigot who sucks at the game.

I'm so glad that in this case, America's love and respect for Big Jeff (and Jordan) clearly overcame the minority of haters.

Jordan winning I would have been fine with, although she's irritated me slightly this season with her hypocrisy and sense of self entitlement, I still think that she is a lovely, lovely girl. Probably the nicest, loveliest winner ever. It's Jeff that I can't stand, his arrogance, self importance and bigotry disgusts me. I hope fans of the show were obviously voting based on S11 as he showed no redeemable qualities this year in my opinion.

It could have been worse, Jordan might have won.

a) Jeff has many fans
b) A large number of them are insane

America are idiots and large amount share his bigoted views. He got the Housewifes vote.

I actually agree with you on this one ()

The mans popularity just really doesn't sit right with me. He's arrogant, aggressive, homophobic, a poor loser.. the list goes on. Is Jeff the most unlikable player ever? Far from it, but his edit is the most stupidly generous you'd ever get.

I understand why he won, because the weekly shows manage to gloss over a lot of the negatives, and manage to portray them as positives when unavoidable. It just kind of bothers me that some nicer players get pushed as villains, when Jeff keeps getting the Golden Boy edit he never really deserved in the first place. If you take his relationship with Jordan out of the equation, I can't think of a single thing that's likable about Jeff.

That being said, Jordan's a peach. (For the most part!)

Hmnnnn. Xenophobia, prejudice, and ignorance do not chime well with those who claim to be offended by homophobia. The United States is a great country and this is exemplified by the vast majority of it's citizens. And some people think Jeff has problems.........

The backbone of any country. Their vote will always be greater in numbers and worth, than the mean girl vote.

Ideally, I would have preferred Jordan to win the AC, purely as a reward for her own personal qualities. My satisfaction with Big Jeff's award is mostly about schadenfreude; take another look at Dani's face and body language when Julie made the announcement. Delicious!

To those claiming that they have no idea where the Jeff backlash has come from ... he demonstrated homophobia in both seasons he was in.

Season 11 - Called Russell a f****t
Season 13 - Compared homosexuality to peadophilia

What I don't get is that he liked Lawon. It's almost like he has a split personality. Half tolerant, half bigot.

I love America. But I never agree with their views on shows like this. They make stupid decisions. The way they could back a homophobe arrogant bad loser like Jeff just exemplifies like, but attitudes like Jeff are a lot more prevalent over there sadly.

He also called Kevin an "f" though not to his face, which is probably worse than anything he said to Russell or Dumbledore.

But didn't she just depend on Jeff and then Rachel? I don't know what exactly they award this for, but I assume being entertaining / interesting and being a good player in the game are part of it. Nobody is perfect, even if that is the image some people may like to have of certain house guests.

Oh well, we can be reassured by the fact that America chose Britney last time - they don't always get it wrong .

I don't understand why you quoted me?

The purpose of the vote is to award America's Favourite with a bit of cash. There's no basis on that other than you vote to give the money to your favourite - it could be: whoever you liked the most, whoever you rooted for, whoever you want to be best friends with in real life, whoever is the most attractive or whatever the reason is why that person was your favourite.

The quality of that person's game isn't necessarily relevant. If I could have voted in BB11, I would have voted for Laura, who was second out. This season, I would have voted for Rachel, who obviously did far better.

My comment on Jordan was just that, for the most part, she seems like one of the nicest people to go in the house this year. Obviously she has flaws, as does everyone who went in the house, but she seems pretty well-rounded overall.

Jordan has a nice side but I don't think she is as sweet and lovely as she lets on. Ocassionally she can be very bitchy such as her leaving speech to Porsche. She also had a bit of the attitude that nobody else better dare challenge her and Jeff and they were superior to everyone else. I found the way she spoke down to people (including Rachel) a bit annoying.

Also she did stand side by side with Jeff never challenged him even when he made horrible comments. I think she shares many of his views (namely the Dumbledor thing).

But, still! I'd rather Jordan would have won than horrible Jeff.

I've honestly never bought into the Saint Jordan thing either. I still remember the way Jordan and Jeff treated Michele in the middle portions of BB11, and it wasn't nice for someone who had their back 100%

I just think compared to most of the others, she's pretty decent. She does have a superiority complex that has been really noticeable this season, but for the most part, I like her.

Well if it's about 'friends in real life' then it's just about people's overactive imagination as Big Brother won't tell you how you would get on with somebody in person I think. Anyway we all know these veterans had fan clubs going into this series anyway, so they had a head start in winning this particular prize from the audience. Jordan (actual winner of a series already) and Jeff are seen as winners already by people and I guess Americans would back people like that even if they may not come across as so good in this series.

Oh I know that, I was just suggesting reasons why people could possibly like a housemate. I would personally never back a housemate because I'd like them as a friend. I hope nobody thinks I would, because that's slightly weird.

Like you say, the fact that J/J are winners is definitely going to make them appealing to people.

I've always said Jeff and Jordan's popularity could stem from the fact that their the American archetype in many ways. He's the hunky (cough) and charming (double cough) athletic type, she's the sweet pretty blonde cheerleader type. They meet, fall in love, go onto get married and have lots of sweet little children.

It's the American dream played out on live TV. In my (admitted limited) experience, American's are suckers for that type of stuff.

I'm sure you're right about all that. Stereotypes can be a bit boring to me, and the American Dream stuff is all part of that bogus patriotism which I think they get fed by their system from school onwards. I tend to find people interesting who are a bit more eccentric (but interesting and with humour, not stupid hollowness), and who aren't supposed to be perfect but are an interesting mix of a good side and faults which aren't too bad or overpowering for me. Rachel had some of that for me, and I think that seems to have got her some support this year in places like British Big Brother forums. Her American support may have benefited a bit from that too, but I wonder if some of it was just that she teamed up with Jordan and gave support to her against Shelly.

Jeff getting the AC was shocking his behaviour was terrible

he was aggressive he bullied anyone who wasn't playing his game he even took his aggressiveness to the Chen bot

then having time to calm down he still was arrogant and aggressive in the Jury house I'm thinking to myself is this guy on something
