Series Links activating at new season

I have noticed that on some channels past series links are re-activating to record new seasons (eg Thursday's Ramsey's kitchen nightmares)

This is a major step forward. Having had a Toppy and one of the few owners of the original TiVo many years ago both have Season Passes that sit dormant awaiting the new season.

We just need this applying to all channels now!

I think that that worked for over 2 years, on at least some of my links.

Series links are retained for 12 weeks before being discarded

Series links are immediately deleted here because they are so annoying, they take up pages of your schedule for no reason.

I still have no idea why they arent kept in the background once they expire.

I've had series links setup that have recorded one or two episodes and has then kept them for the same day so that the following day I've had series links setup with the next episode marked as the day before, it's annoying having the Schedule list taken up with outdated series links because the HDR is incapable of looking through the EPG and moving the series link on to the next scheduled episode.
