Thought she was among my favorites last night but I somehow wish they showed the whole of her audition as she was one of the ones that everyone looked out for.

I like Melaine very much. She has a fantastic voice for someone only 17 yrs old and she has the looks to match.
I'm looking forward to hearing more of her.

I'm routing for her big time. I really hope she makes the live finals. But once she gets there, I cannot see even the producers bullshit being able to stop her.

Travesty if Melanie doesn't make the live shows. She has barely featured so far though so I fear the worst. Her non x-factor videos on YouTube are amazing, such a superb voice but she has great control over it too.

Melanie's original audition back in 2008. (Admittedly they only showed snippet) She made it to the last day of Boot Camp, but was cut over Alex, Diana, Laura etc.

I think Melanie could be the surprise package of the 12 soloists. The producers have done a great job of conceaing the fact that she's a powerful vocalist by showing her singing songs that are not really suited to her, when she's really a big ballad singer.

She really is such a fantastic singer! I was listening to her full audition on youtube, and why they didn't show her first song is still a mystery to me!

i'm really sorry that Melaine didn't make it through to the live final. she really deserved to. I really liked Melaine.

She's auditioned again this year, so it will be interesting to see how far she goes this time round.

I am excited to see what happens with her this year. I really want her to see her get her big break this year.

My favorite audition of tonight by far.
She has come so far since last season. Excellent control and hope she sticks to these contemporary songs. Really want this to be her year.

I hope she makes it through this year, she deserves it imo and is the best contestant I've seen on the auditions so far.

Totally agree. Melanie has come so far within a year her control is fantastic and her tone has really developed.

I really like her. I still think she has a lot more to give and will be one of the few contestants who will go onto grow as a performer if she was a given a chance to progress to the live shows.

I believe she will grow to if this improved this much in a year what will she be like later when she gets coaching. Tonight Melanie proved she can be current.


She has worked so hard for this and without sounding bias I don't think there are exactly many contestants who want to succeed as much as Melanie does.

I hope she gets a chance this year.
