Me too. She has worked so hard, if she can get to the later stages she will be really dedicated nonstop rehearse and wanting to get better, she has the drive and determination it takes for the show.

Loved her tonight. She was even better tonight than she was in the room auditions. I agree with Gary and Nichole saying she can keep getting better.

I think she was great too, though for some reason the full recording that has been doing the rounds sounded a little better!

I'm really hopeful for Melanie now. They couldn't possibly be building her up like this just to cut her again, could they? It would just be to cruel, even for XF...

I have to say if they are building Melanie up for a fall then its pretty sick especially as they know she has put herself through this process 3 times already. To give her false hope would be SO cruel and I actually think it would put me off watching the show again. They would have to be really heartless to let her down, I mean considering how much praise they are giving her, it would be so wrong to let her down.

I know I'm biased but I genuinely think Melanie is the best contestant on the show so far this year.

I do too. I think her and Sam are the only ones who have delivered on both performances so far, though I do think Tamera could be very good if she can get it together.

Melanie really deserves this, after tonight we know why she auditioned again due to the financial trouble. She vowed last year that she wouldn't try again after not getting through for a third time.

I believe if she gets to the finals, she will win.

There is no denying the power of the Irish vote, coupled with a flawless voice, delivered by a stunning young girl.

If the bosses allow her to the finals, then Melanie is their current plan A. Because they know they will find it hard to get her out of the contest.

I absolutely adore this girl, and I have high hopes for her.

Really want her to get her big break, Melanie could be looked back on as a great success story. I hope she proves that never giving up pays off.

That was her best ever XF performance tonight....she gave a quite beautiful rendition of Titanium.

I think too much is being made of her lack of stage presence. Sure, she's far from the finished article but as far as I know, she is not a stage school type and has had limited performing experience.

This is the best that Melanie has ever sang on X Factor. As Nichole and Gary said she may have the talent but she will get even better she is far from the best she can be still which has me looking forward to future performances from her.

Melanie has entered local talent shows and done gigs but as far as I have heard she hasn't had any special training. With some good quality mentoring Melanie could have very good thing's coming her way this year.

Also, her room audition is WAY out in front in terms of views on Youtube of this weeks contestants with over 223000 views in around what? 28 hours? (Relley is closest with 98000)

She's also currently leading the way of the arena auditions, with a narrow lead over Abi.

Looks like she's pretty popular.

Hopefully that translates to votes if she makes it to the lives.

Room audition already has over 300K views. Look forward to seeing what those views will be in a weeks time on Saturday she could have around a million views. After years of trying to makes the lives it would be nice to see her have that blue tick on her twitter page.

i think she had an a-ha moment that it isn't just about belting and showing off your range in EVERY song... it's more about the story (and emotion) of the particular song...


and her toning down/ stripping back her vocals/belting this time round-- to not too much but just enough-- seems to be the trick that makes the audience actually feel her and for her...
