Went on a bit of a splurge yesterday and bought myself some jazzy coloured silicone sandwich tins/loaf tin(!) and cupcake trays..Does anyone else use this silicone stuff..do you still have to grease/line the loaf tin and the sandwich tins (o.k I know they're not tins but what else do I call them? moulds I suppose)

Yes I always grease them, I use the sandwich tins and the fairy cake cases. I love them although cleaning the fairy cake ones is a bit of a bind

forgot to say, I didn't grease the fairy cake ones the first time I used them and the cakes stuck a bit.

Use them for lentil cakes and muffins. First time I used them I didn't grease them. Bad mistake. Now I always grease, then let the item cool down for 5 minutes or so and out it pops, clean as a whistle.

Well used the sandwich moulds and bottom lined them in the end to be safe, only greased the sides and there were a few stuck bits..think I'll still line and grease to be safe!

my Mum had some Muffin ones a good few years ago and I thought they were rubbish they were too flexible, you couldn't hold them with one hand as they would flop. The cakes came out easily though

Yes...it did advise to place them on a baking sheet!
