Just checked Itunes and i have noticed Damien Rice's amazing song Cannonball is all of the sudden in the top 5 itunes

Any reason why?

I am not moaning by the way. I think it's an amazing song that deserved better success when first released.

Damien Rice songs seem to get murdered on X Factor quite regularly, can only be good for him I suppose.

This is one of my favourite songs ever. I adore it. Really glad to see it back in the charts. Can't believe it got up to 39 in the top 40, considering it was only on X Factor on Saturday night!

Perhaps he'd have more success with a different name. Named after rice isn't that sexy sounding!

Must admit - sorry to say this - I think Cannonball is one of the most dreary songs I've ever heard. Not sure why people rave about it but each to their own. Let's face it, it's no Rick Astley ' Never Gonna Give You Up' is it?

It's not an either/or choice for me - there's a time and place for dreary songs, and there's room for both Damien Rice AND Rick Astley in my life!

The name change might be an idea though, for some reason I always associate Damien Rice with Anneka Rice, which can't be a good thing.
