Strong for Terra Nova, it's not a brilliant show but it's certainly watchable. Interesting to see that the 8pm slot (supposedly because it's a 'family show') is working, not something I expected.

Pleased to see that Katie Price has another flop show on her hands, Sky should never have got involved.

When will the other Soap ratings be announced?

DS usually take about half an hour for the soap ratings article to be published after they've published the tv ratings article. So I imagine any minute now.

A few additional stats gleaned from Channel 4 Sales:

*Deal or No Deal Live picked up around 130k on +1 bringing total viewership to 1.93m, just shy of magic 2m;
*Sky1 beat Film4 in the multichannel shares;
*All Channel 5 channels improved share week-on-week, meaning the C5 corporation share increased significantly from 5.8% last Monday to 6.3% yesterday.
*The BBC, ITV and Channel 4 all lost audience share week-on-week.

To be fair, Price was signed up by Living, when it was owned by Virgin.

I doubt it. Sky tend to pick up exclusive rights. They will have the rights to show it FTA as well I'm sure but 99% of the time they won't ever use these.

However, they have recently brought Lie To Me to Pick TV, a former hit US show on Sky1 which has now been cancelled. To my surprise they are also actively promoting it, which is very unusual for Sky. Not clear yet if this is just a one off or part of a broader change in programming policy.

Good point, I had forgotten that. In my view she does nothing for the Sky Living brand, which they should be trying to build up rather than bring downmarket.

I'd like to know how much marketing spend it had compared to say Glee. Terra Nova must be far more profitable for them.

A Good night for all the channels really. The big 3 soaps did very well. Great for Doc Martin and Motorway Cops on BBC 1 Did ok. I'm Surprised by that Simpsons rating, Is is normally that high?

Can you do the same with an episode of Downton? With all the bad press and Guardian poll showing that 74% of readers cut out the ads, it should be interesting.

Well, that screws up the overnights for tomorrow morning then - and the officials when they come through. And it has a knock on effect when rzt or others report on series averages for EE and Body Farm.

They should have kept it on BBC2 in Scotland like the rest of the UK. How many Scots are going to want to watch their hapless team get walloped 5-0 or more by the Spanish anyway?

I think it might do well south of the border though...

It may screw up averages but BBC1 will rate better. EastEnders is the least popular of the "big 3" soaps in Scotland by quite a margin when I remember reading a report not long ago. I think even the Scottish soap River City was outrating it a couple of years ago and that show is pretty ropey itself!

Harry's Law debuted on Universal with 242k (1.4%). That represents the channel's highest rated series launch ever. A few more multichannel ratings then from a generous feeling Broadcast:

When the proper official ratings come out, BBC1's "except Scotland" shows tonight will all be lower than usual, and we won't ever know how many watched on BBC2 Scotland because none of those will rate high enough to make it into the BBC2 (national) Top 30 on BARB.

The BBC put out some figures for River City a couple of weeks ago when they said it would not be affected by the cuts. They claimed a weekly audience of 500,000 (unclear whether that includes the Sunday repeat).Even so I would have thought strong figures for a Scotland-only soap.

The first time in a long time Holby City's been shown in Scotland at the same time as the rest of the UK, though it still doesn't do much for it as now viewers in Scotland have yet another new day, and on another channel to boot.

River City, by the way, is on Friday this week, in Holby's current (well, for five minutes) slot.
