It'll only be featured in an ad on ITV1 I'm sure, and similarly on C5. And it'll be every bit as successful as The Peoples Lottery from a few years ago.

According to David Walliams' twitter account, The Royal Bodyguard begins at the end of November.
The Royal Bodyguard to start Friday November 25th at 9.30pm? |

BBC Sports editor on SPOTY taking place on a Thursday...
"The show itself is on the move from its traditional Sunday evening slot to a Thursday night. Why? You might ask. Well we've worked really hard this year to avoid the show clashing with other big events in the busy Christmas schedule and are pleased to have secured a great prime-time slot, right in the heart of the Christmas build up". (I personally go with an earlier reply on the previous thread - the 2 favourites will be Major champion golf winners Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy, so best pick a day with no tournament taking place). http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sportedit...bbc_sport.html |

With SPOTY moving to Thursday, it opens up the possibility of SCD having a Sunday final. I'm 99% sure a Sunday final for SCD would rate better than the late Saturday night final results show it's had in previous years. Last year, the final performance show of SCD peaked higher than the actual results show with the winners' announcement as it was on a little bit too late for some viewers. In a Sunday 7.30pm/8pm slot, the SCD final results would do really well. Quote:

Launching a comedy against I'm a Celebrity is not the brightest of ideas. Saying that, I bet the clever clogs at ITV have decided to extend the running length of I'm a Celebrity per day, split it up and are going to put Coronation Street on at 9.00pm.

Yeah, it looks like it. I'm disappointed by this news as I thought with it being the first BBC1 comedy David Jason's done since OFAH, they would've launched it during the Christmas period, even perhaps on Christmas Day itself to make a big deal about it. It just won't make the same impact in a Friday 9.30pm slot in November, especially with HIGNFY leading into it which hasn't been too strong in the last year or so, and possibly up against I'm a Celebrity. |

Dispatches should be aiming for the 2m mark tonight. The Dale Farm story which dominates tonight's edition of the current affairs show has literally been all over the news all day long.

![]() I'm seriously amazed that they didn't. They missed a big trick, ratings-wise. (Wouldn't worry about the programme not living up to the title. Look at "Lorraine"....presented by Carol Vorderman). |

I think Hidden would perform better on Thursday and have Frozen Planet either on Monday or midweek. The Jeremy Paxman series Empire will likely get a Sunday slot or even midweek,

I agree. ITV may be in positive territory there year-on-year but not by much, considering what they spent on RoB and RWC. In fact, strip out the +1 figure and there's hardly any uplift at all.
Similar story for Five, despite BB. The big story, though, is C4. Those year on year comparisons are terrible. |

Great ratings for The X Factor and Downton Abbey on Sunday. Watch them both grow!
