That's the same peak (inc +1) as last week's equivalent peak. Looks like it had a big +1 audience.

Interestingly, last year's 1st Judges Houses show averaged 11.89m (47.3%), so obviously down year-on-year. I suspect we're looking at ~10m average, however it appears a lot more watched on +1 than usual last night, presumably due to Doctor Who and Merlin.

hmm 51% tells me less people were watching tv than last week?

5.9 million peak audience at 10.10am for England v Scotland on ITV1 in #rwc2011 - a huge 56 percent of TV viewing.

But like rzt said last year was too high, in comparison to 2009, its pretty much the same

Super peak for England v Scotland, I should note at this point however that the average will be much lower as there was 75 minutes of post-match analysis.

I think the average last night would've been about ~9.5m (exc +1) based on the earlier start, probably nudging over 10m (inc +1). That 51% peak share was almost identitcal to the 52% peak share it had for the same episode last year - the big difference being there were c.3m fewer people watching TV last night than the same night last year.

Some good stuff there even though it was a really hot day and night.

That's interesting, as it means that it averaged 2.2m from 18:30 to 19:05, seems like it really struggles versus Strictly.

With the hot Weather we had yesteday Strictly, Merlin, Doctor Who and X Factor all did very well.

I think the BBC will be more pleased with how last night went than ITV. X Factor and Family Fortunes were well down on where they should be.

So with more hot weather forcast i wonder what the final X Factor judges house will get tonight. Could it be below 10m Again?

So is Strictly (and Merlin seems a bit low). The hot weather clearly had a significant affect. XF will be above 10m with +1, so that improves it a bit. The 11.8m peak was down -1.4m and 1 share point from last year. I think that proves that the weather had a big affect. Obviously it would have been down a bit anyway, but I suspect it would have been around the 11m mark instead of the 10m mark. Bearing in mind that this stage of the competition relatively overperformed last year and was always going to be the toughest stage of the competition to match, it didn't do too badly.

I can't believe Casualty outrated JR by nearly a million when the latter had X Factor guests on. Excellent night for BBC One all things considered.

ITV's star performer was the rugby with an impressive peak share.

It won't be, its a sunday for a start, school/work tommorow and it has a later start time, shorter show, more interesting for viewers as they find out the final 16 and finally its meant to rain up north in Leeds,Manchester,Newcastle,Liverpool etc.

I Agree Score. It won't match last years hights but it will be the second most watched series to date. Seeing as alot of people thought this year would be a disaster of the show i think it's done quite well.

ITV will be pleased with the England game yesterday, 5.9 million in a morning slot is over ten times better than what they normally get on a Saturday morning. However, is there really much point to the Coronation St omnibus on ITV1, barring it being cheap schedule filler?
