They just need to keep it up this year as it's been the same story the last couple of years - a new producer comes in, things pick up later in summer and then ratings are expected to rise further come the autumn, but never do.

Hopefully the new freshers arriving next week (5 next week, and with the introduction of Daytona Lights another five to follow) will refresh the shows biggest weakest over the last couple of years - the students.

Exactly - soap fans expect things to be wrapped up in six weeks but this is playing out much more realistically and really on the sort of pace of most soap serial killer storylines.

Agree - many suggested (including myself) maybe they should just admit defeat and go off air for the summer - but they did the exact opposite and it's paid off.
