Agreed, the last few HL shows have been getting the highest ratings of those days in the series. Thursday got 1.42m, highest Thurs of the series, and the 11pm show on Friday got the highest 11pm rating of the series.

Tonight we are looking at around 1.4m.

Just Decent. Seeing at lots of people thought it would be the worse year for X Factor it's done fantastic same as Strictly. Remember they didn't clash last year so of course it is down from last year.

Yesterday we have in Germany a big show clash. Wetten Dass was shown on ZDF (third last show with the moderator who was 23 years the head of the show), Das Supertalent on RTL (our Britain’s Got Talent) and Stefan Raab has organized his annual Stock Car Challenge.

Here are the Ratings (every viewer / 14-49yrs)

Wetten Dass; 20:15 to 23:07: 9.06m (29,1 %) / 2.73m (22,1 %)
Supertalent: 20;15 to 22:59: 6.28m (20 %) / 3.34m (26,9 %)
Stock Car: 20:15 to 01:09: 2.08m (8,5 %) / 1,59m (15,3 %)

Maybe the steadily rising ratings could be the effect of people getting over the lack of live feed.....

I WISH!

I Wonder How Long X Factor and Strictly can go on for. I Think both can still be on air till at least 2016.

Look forward to seeing the actual unaggregated TXF rating, and by how much Strictly won during the clash period.

Looks like TXF will have been below 10m without the repeat showing, if that it's typically getting 900k or so. Oh dear, I wonder if ITV will do an emergency reschedule next week to avoid a repeat of last nights indignity?

What are the chances of the Mail et al reporting Strictly's head to head victory tomorrow....?

That's a fair point. Haven't seen last nights too but over the last year they've ruined The Xtra Factor live shows with the judges calls from the same irritating fools week after week, then a panel of nobodies discussing the show and very, very little content with the actual contestants. Indeed last year the only live bits with contestants seemed to be the quick chat on stage at the beginning and the interview with the eliminee, which was done with just eliminee and judge rather than with all the contestants as it used to be.

Although I don't think there is anything to worry about I wonder if leaking the twist put some people off and they felt with no vote they might as well wait until the top 12 kick in. I do think they'd have been better off announcing the twist live.

441,000 away....

Is that about TWO MILLION down on last year?

Disappointing peak for the rugby QF. I wonder how many had given up by half time?

Is it possible to have primetime share figures starting at 6pm rather than 7pm, ie, not rigged in favour of ITV?

It just annoys me that we get "primetime shares" reported on here day in day out that are biased in ITV'S favour given that 7 days a week BBC1 does much better than ITV in the 6pm hour. No wonder ITV want their measure of primetime to prevail....

When XF and Strictly clashed for 15 mins last year TXF lost and as a result the 2nd live show got about 1.3 million less than the first. And the good thing about next week is TXF is 20 mins shorter, 4 less acts, doesn't clash i think aswell

I switched off after 30 mins, because I was dreading watching XF for another two hours. That's coming from someone who has happily watched the first live show for the past 4 years. Does anyone have a 15-minute breakdown for XF?

8 million roughly watching strictly, as well as over 10 million watching x factor at the same time. The figures for X factor are obviously going to be lower than usual. It is incredible IMO for it to get those figures, especially when over 8 million are watching bbc at the same time. No clash tonight, so it should easily top 11 million, if not higher. I hope there is no more clashes!

No it is clashing next weekend. But i think it's for a shorter period about 20m

Also, good to see classic comedy doing very well on BBC2. Are You Being Served not far away from 3 million, and Dad's Army as reliable a performer as ever, against XF. Maybe Saturday nights should be a classic comedy night on BBC2.

both strictly and x factor clashed! 18 million watching both channels altogether, incredible achievement for x factor, otherwise it would have been around 11.5 probably if it hadn't clashed.
