at school I found a lovely interactive christmas advent calendar with one of the numbers being one of those trees you can decorate yourself,

I had great fun trying it out this morning before the children arrived...!!!

lots of different colours baubles and sparkly things......

my dad hasnt been 100% well for years.....

hes in his late 70s and its just one thing after another......He tries so hard to be optimistic and just carry on. Which is good on one level, and extremely frustrating on another!!!

Hes started to admit defeat over some things, like asking for my OH to help him fit a security light at the weekend. then he drove my OH round the bend cos he then proceeded to 'help' him fit it.....
until he had to be forced to sit down by my mum, as 'helping' was making him overtired.and breathless....!!


and I have huge sympathy for anyone else with relatives getting older, trying to deal with the NHS....
they are well meaning, and the specialists do seem to know what they are doing...
but the hospitals themselves, and various clinics, can be so badly organised...
.and unless you are a couple of steps ahead of them.....older people can be so badly cared for...




so you have got a colour scheme........ that sounds lovely....

We usually decorate this weekend, but it might be delayed by a week, as we are just redecorating the living room,

I love painting, but I am not allowed to do decorating around the house, as I am told I am too untidy..... and I dont do all the preparation work beforehand!!!

I am allowed to choose the colour..!! And then to wait for the painstaking decorating to be finished..... I must admit it looks good when its done, but it just tends to take so long....

come on John, how about a few christmas messages?

I always thought that chills was an appropriate tounge in cheek nickname for him....cos he wanted to be chilled out....and seen as cool.....

but he wasnt really....

however having said that, I do wonder how his mates did or do see him?

theres that thing that often kids are very different with different sets of mates....or with parents etc....
I know im not allowed to say certain things with my girls in case I make them look less cool....or less in control....

maybe John was v arguementative in some areas of his life, like with his mum and dad and immediate family,
and yet pretty chilled out with his school friends and football team?

I was so fed up I have just posted on the Liverpool Supporters thread - never done that before Sorry, but the team is unbalanced when Carroll plays (nothing against him personally). Suarez, Bellamy, Kuyt, Downing, Maxi all look better when he's not there. I wonder whether the club will be able to move him on for his sake as well as ours?? Can't comment on football - I am more a rugby fan. It was rare for a high school or university in the US to have a football/soccer team. Girls played it - I was right fullback on my high school team. Yup! Despite what I look like now, I was very very sporty in my youth - and I was a cheerleader. Think I'd break something if I tried anything now!

BIB 1 No, Carroll is not worth £35 million in my opinion, but that's what LFC paid for him - he's the most expensive English player in the premier league - not that you'd guess that

BIB2 I think John is a Leeds fan (his father's family come from around there). They are fighting for promotion into the premier league this season, if all goes well for them (not my fave team, gotta be said)

BIB3 Note that you made your points well before I was likely to be around
