Haven't been able to read everything and have to go out now with Laura, but just a musing here.

The tweet John made mentioning tasers, choking etc., I read that as him throwing back her own words from interviews/tv back at her, not as her having done these things to him ... things that she's admitted to herself (even though he did say the vase thing previously with regard to himself). He's saying look, this is who you are, you've admitted it. What do you think?

Do you think that maybe if he has just moved and made sure everyone he cares for eg girlfriend etc is safe....

now he can actually let rip and say what he is really thinking?

But as an aside........I have an awful feeling that the conflict between loys and muckers could now escalate into something truly horrendous.....

and maybe John could do with joining forces with Josie somehow to stop the so called fans ripping each other to shreds.....

to some extent he has done so, by saying via tweet that he has left and has no influence any more......

but it will be interesting to see how things develop over the next few weeks......

and I am in 2 minds as to whether now he has started he should go the whole hog and tell everyone just went on ...or whether discretion was the better path.......

I think there have been far too many rumours of domestic violence, from Josie towards other people for them to all be a coincidence.

We had things like the christmas JJJ interview last december in OK magazine, where Josie talks about kicking John on his bad knee......
we had loads of people talking on DS anecdotally about how frightening Josie is when she is drunk.....

I have never seen any reference to Josie choking anyone before today.....

So I think John will at some point directly accuse Josie of being violent towards him, when she was either drunk, or in a temper......
If you remember he did accuse her months ago of behaving like Kathy Bates, in Misery.......which to me as well as her being his biggest fan also had huge conotations of him accusing her of hurting him.....

and anyone who supports Josie is going to have to work out some kind of defence that explains/excuses why she was so aggressive towards John......

cos I think ultimately that is the biggest thing that John fans hold against her....and the one that has no excuse...

Kicking out seems to be a favoured action of hers, she kicked out at him when she was in one of the beds and John tried to get in to it at the start of their crabeyes fight. I remember thinking at the time BB will probably warn her for that and I wouldn’t be surprised if off screen they did.

No I've not heard of the choking either, baseball bat and Taser have been mentioned a few times but choking is a new one to me as well.

Regarding John not taking Josie to Australia: Josie stated in a magazine interview that she didn’t want to go there until she had lost more weight because everyone was thin out there. Josie stated on Loose women [The episode after the National TV awards show] That they were going to Australia in the summer. So is she lying in the latest magazine interview? Or was she lying on Loose women?

Re the DV discussion, I don't read John as literally as that. Maybe he's just using it to illustrate a more general point about Jose's MO. Namely, she deals with problems by going on the attack and/or using threats/physical force, whereas sometimes you just have to accept that this is how life is (eg, you go on BB, you have 'haters') and you can't always bully others to get your own way. Of course, John's not perfect on that score either - but I find it easier to visualise what he's getting at that way than by thinking he's seriously making DV allegations against Jose. Fans will jump on the bandwagon but tbh if it wasn't DV it would be something else - until the 2 of them jointly call a halt to hostilities.

I know there's been a degree of back and forth between them since the split about him being mentally abusive and her being physically abusive. Hopefully the mutual threats cancel each other out and they'll both die away in due course. Jose's side still seem to be implying that they have some blackmail card over John - some hidden truth that they will release and Katie P 'hinting' at what she claims to know. Tbh, it's probably just Jose's standard approach - see she's now implying the same about Sean. So perhaps there really isn't anything particularly revealing still to come. :yawn:

Btw Augusta, I love your willingness to float low probability possibilities and on this thread at least we don't get too carried away with them. Your point hadn't occurred to me that timing of the outburst might be linked to the possibility that he/Sherrie may have moved in Oz and now felt safer. Ok, it's a low probability possibility, same as my suggestion that the timing might be linked to the end of Josie's reign on OKTV! Or perhaps he's in league with Josie to help her get some free publicity, now that she's struggling to keep herself in the public eye - who knows frankly?? But irl, the trigger for his outburst (why now?) is quite likely a low probability possibility such as these, combining with the other factors we already put it down to (ie, the email, the latest article, the cheek of trying to embarrass him to stop the hate, the cheek of asking him to get his fans to vote for her, etc).

The bib No Augusta ,according to Next door Miss Gibson ,has never ever been violent towards John ,when i pointed out this wasn't true as Josie admitted herself she kicked and clipped him ,i was apparently doing a disservice to real DV Victims as Josie only said those Comments in fun and i was supposed to know she was only joking

When i also pointed out we all saw Josie kick out on L/F i had then apparently just made that fact up as others next door who were avid viewers of L/F had never ever seen Josie do this

well I can back up your story.... I too saw Josie being aggressive and nearly kicking John on BB, and she did also mention that she had an anger problem on BB......

BIB I agree and dont think the DV quote was particularly direct today and did prop just refer to bullying tactics not working.....

but I kind of raised the issue of DV, more as the elephant in the room, the unspoken topic...that John fans use to berate Josie, and the one thing that was and is pretty unforgivable.....

Wasnt the reason that she didnt go was because she had work committments and she didnt have a visa to get in. IMO she was never going to go. When the summer came round she would have had another excuse not to go.

As for the DV its in black and white what she did so there is no denying it. As for her show in January what does she know about weddings she cant even hold down a relationship of her own. I feel sorry for John something has happened to make him come onto to twitter and I found some of the tweets quite sad today. I wonder where he has moved to. Maybe he has left his mums so that she doesnt get all the flack which is a shame as they are very close.

I think she has real problem remembering what she says. Maybe she ought to have all the mags on standby and all the programmes on hand so that she can see what she has said before she does interviews.
