I really do think there is nothing behind his mentions in mags, they were a couple, from BB,who wanted to have a very public relationship, and their break up was also public,so both will be known for their time on BB,but also for their relationship. If that makes sense.

Nice to see you Deefs.Great post ![]() The way mags and TV shows are going about John is very confusing.Does he have any contact with anyone in the media? Why would they keep up his profile at Josie's expense?I am beginning to feel he has cut ties with his fanbase but I cant see him not lurking on DS at least to read about the new show.I do think he was very uncomfortable with the fan wars.Anything he posted sparked wars between fans. One thing in my mind is John doesnt like other people being disliked because of him. The type of media he got was not anything he expected or wanted and he felt he owed something to the people who supported him.He shouldnt have felt it but he is that type of person he is.After BB I cant see Josie going anywhere or reinventing herself. That should bring the fan wars to an end at least. No one in BB12 will better him so there is still a window if he needs it. I think the only reason he did the Sherrie interview is to cutail rumours that he cheated as that is very damaging on a long term basis. The cheating rumours and 'owes money' to Josie are the only 2 things that have a long term impact, that is why he reacted strongly to them.Everything else that has happened has no real impact in the frame of things that is why the media is still pinning for him and disrespecting Josie and her new boyfriend. Such a good post and I agree with every word. I am sure we will hear from John again but not yet. I don't think he will do anything that could be perceived as taking limelight from Josie |

I can see what you mean but captions on a relationship that ended so publicly and there are replacements already when the person lives else where are not this common even for BB contestants otherwise Nikki BB7 will be tagged with Pete BB7 since 2006.She has been visible ever since but because the interest in Pete doesnt measure up,so they dont mention him.It comes down to the fact that there is still interest in John James more than Josie and no real fuss about the new boyfriend .She is on her way out.

Hi Lindy
I am hobbling but doing shorter days in the office. I really enjoy working with my team so I hate it when I can't be there. I appreciate working from home when we're snowed in but thats my limit. |

Have started reading again, this hopefully is a good sign for my mental health after BB11 - it's only taken a year
![]() The novel I am now on is not very cheerful though - 'Room' by Emma Donoghue - I am convincing myself it must get better. It surely can't be worse / better than the 'Lovely Bones' !! And I do this for pleasure ?! ![]() Anyway I'm away to my book so goodnight JJAT  Hope nyannie is okay x Sleep tight everyone  Love, Lindy x x

I might have got it totally wrong but to my mind there's not much mileage in the story of a good looking plumber going out with a good looking girl. But the story of a gorgeous looking John James falling for a girl who was not your average figure/image conscious model type was very refreshing. She has always been very attractive but it's a bit ironic that she has now morped into the stereotype that people would imagine he would be attracted to and you can understand the mags wondering what his reaction would be to her now.

Morning all.
Not feeling too great but I wanted to thank everyone for their very kind messages. I really really appreciate it. As for authors - CJ Sansome has written a great set of mysteries about a lawyer during Tudor times. Easy reading and you get a great feeling of actually being in London. The descriptions are great. I'm off now but want to thank you all again for your kindness. |

I laugh out loud even when sitting reading on my own in cafes etc! |

interesting point, I think that was why so many people were attracted to the BB storyline between the 2 of them.... and I also agree that its interesting that the mags still find mileage in linking the two of them together...... |

![]() I love the Ladies Detective Series by Alexander McCall Cash too. I am currently reading a biography of the American poet Edna St Vincent Millay. Interesting. Didn't read a thing while on holiday. Had a lovely morning out with my neighbour. We went to a garden centre (one of about 20 within a 5-mile radius), had coffee and bought some bulbs. Now I'm pooped so watching AT show. Thanks again for all your good wishes. |

Sansome isn't very heavy. The books have pace. I struggled with Wolf Hall - worse than War and Peace - couldn't keep track of the characters.

Thanks again for all your good wishes. I like the sound of the Sansome novels, Ive seen them and picked them up and nearly bought one....!!! Historical novels and Tv programmes are curious, Ive studied enough history to get extremely irritated when the author gets the details wrong, and just transposes a 21st century character with 21st century morals back into a historical period.... There was a tv drama on recently which was set in the 1930s and the adopted daughter of an aristocratic house , whose dad was an MP was employed as an actress! It was a central theme to the spy plot...... Which I found completely bizarre..... I thought aristocratic people in the 30s were very snobby, and that it would be extremely rare for wealthy women to work at all, let alone a high status woman being employed as an actress. I thought being on the stage was definitely a lower class trade... To me it was a bit like the son of a lord being openly employed as a dustman...... if a rich aristocratic woman was working as an actress, it wouldnt be something openly discussed. It would be something bad and not spoken of... the rest of my family loved the programme, while I was sitting there muttering..... ![]() Have we had any news of John at all? |
