I’m not sure the first interview was much in the way of self promotion, he hadn’t cheated – that was really the gist of it. It was unplanned with no photos.
The second pap picture thing was different. At the time there was a fair amount of speculation on twitter and on DS that he was making this girl up. I’m sure that would have been breathtakingly annoying for him, because if he had been pretending he had met someone it would be pretty pathetic. My guess is he wanted to quash that quick smart.
I’d say initially he’d planned to go back to England and pursue some kind of public thing but I think he’d underestimated the reaction to the breakup and probably hadn’t expected the amount of stuff said about him on twitter, & mags and whatnot so he may have thought scr*w this.
Re his lack of contact maybe he just doesn’t feel like he can go back to twitter, like when you put off ringing someone after a row and it just gets harder and harder to do it. If he had some dramatic news maybe he would then, who knows.
Or maybe his priorities are with what’s best for his sanity and personal relationships. if he is with Sherrie she’s had a lot of crap said about her that I’m sure she wasn’t delighted about.
Although we know little or nothing about her, or even if they’re together, on paper they seem like a good match. They’re both the only child in their family, both seem to think it’s reasonable to live on the other side of the world to be with someone, and both have the experience of living in a country with a different culture to their own (she seems to have integrated into his group of friends), both at some stage decided to make a career out of their interest, him sport, her dancing. So maybe he’s all about that right now.
