Re his lack of contact maybe he just doesn’t feel like he can go back to twitter, like when you put off ringing someone after a row and it just gets harder and harder to do it. If he had some dramatic news maybe he would then, who knows.
Or maybe his priorities are with what’s best for his sanity and personal relationships. if he is with Sherrie she’s had a lot of crap said about her that I’m sure she wasn’t delighted about.
Although we know little or nothing about her, or even if they’re together, on paper they seem like a good match. They’re both the only child in their family, both seem to think it’s reasonable to live on the other side of the world to be with someone, and both have the experience of living in a country with a different culture to their own (she seems to have integrated into his group of friends), both at some stage decided to make a career out of their interest, him sport, her dancing. So maybe he’s all about that right now.”

what a sensible post..... I think you could be right. the public interest in him and his personal life could have just been too much.
and if he was finding the negativity difficult to take, maybe he misinterpreted how disliked he actually was.
I know im a bit like that, when I was younger, I used to tie myself up in knots wondering why someone hasnt phoned me or invited me to something, and assumed the worst, thats its becasue they dont like me or something, yet usually there is a totally innocuous reason. and ive seen it happen so often with my daughters over the years.
I was always fine with close friends cos I could just ask them, but found it much harder to cope with people i didnt know that well.
My oldest is like me, or how I used to be, and always takes everything to heart and everything as a personal slight and insult. My youngest who is much more sociable, tends to laugh things off and just go and do something with another group of friends.
So if John assumed that everyone disliked him, maybe this is a reason for his absence?
For instance, I think if he had openly said he was a friend of Marks, on twitter etc, I think his support would have been a positive. But John seems to have been worried that it might have been seen as a negative.
so maybe he doesnt realise how much support he does actual have in the UK?
The feisty minx Kandilashes et al have been on my mind . . . . and fighting group-think on the MF has been a fulltime job since BB12 started.
