The mere fact that I support John James,Jeremy and Ziggy,all of whom have had BB relationships.I can never call anything a showmance.I dont think John and Jeremy ever had a showmance,both were just incompatible and were played by the girls.I always support the boys more and BB12 is no different ,as long as the boys are happy then I am happy.It will come down to whether Alex has done enough to beat Aaron and her fanbase is untested,the glamour model thing might come back to haunt her at the finish line unless she discloses it during the show.

The thing i like about Alex,is that she doesn't take herself too seriously,up for a laugh,her,Harry and Tome makes me chuckle.Sophie Read was a GM,and ended up winning the show

The vote to save Jem was a protest vote.

I am not much of a fan of BB this year, but based on the biased editing, I didn't see anyone other than Jem and Aaron - or maybe Harry - being nominated.

I was really hoping that everyone would be up this year. Really annoyed with the whole BB this year, but of course I bet C5 makes its money every time Aaron is up.

Let me know georgy. I am a friend of V&A and don't have to pay admission fee. I used to live a block away from it in my youth. Friends Room is lovely.

I'm tempted with Strictly Come Dancing and Downton Abbey - I love both those shows. I loved Downton this week - so relieved that it looks hopeful for Matthew's injuries - it's just a shame about the adverts though. It's very difficult to get involved in anything when there are 5 mins of adverts for every 10 mins of programme

Thanks for this info Muggins. I can see why John was so emtional in the house. Being away from his close friends and family must have been awful with this hanging over him and his vulnerability was obvious.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old woman I think kids today do have it a bit harder because they have had more than their parents . I worked my way through university and graduate school and because I did a science degree had a debt of over £60,000 when I graduated - I paid it off over a number of years.

I also think that university has now become a 'right' because other trades and skills aren't valued enough. In the US most kids go to university, but what has happened is that there is a tier system of colleges and universities and those who go to the best - ivy league for example, will get the best jobs. You only have to see what some college/university graduate in the US wind up doing - secretaries, salesmen - which don't need a university degree - and we don't have 'free' tuition system unless you are a resident of a state and go to that state university.

I find it very sad that trades aren't valued. Where would we all be without plumbers, electricians, street cleaners, postmen etc? People who work to give us a decent quality of life with little recognition

As for volunteering - well, I now have time to be around when people need me. I guess I'm cynical but I would rather give time to people and organizations which mean something to me personally. I have helped organize coffe mornings for charity, been with friends when they've had hospital appointments, helped neighbours' children when they've had trouble with their homework and read newspapers for the blind - and done babysitting/dogsitting for neighbours. I guess my point is to just think carefully about what you want to do with yourself. You have to feel you have value yourself. You still run a home, support family and friends. You do have worth and you do have value. Each one of us has value and worth.

I know what you mean - sometimes I felt very uncomfortable watching him, in fact there are still some bits of bb I haven't watched - the Rachael massage and that awful last argument when he was so hurt and upset - I gave that a miss He certainly brought out a protective instinct in me.

He seems the type of person that, once he trust and likes someone, he would give them the shirt off his back and do anything for them. I can understand why he was so emotionally connected to Josie - don't get me wrong but I wonder if she did take on a bit of a 'mother' role in his eyes - someone he could love and look after - and they is why he was so confused about the relationship?

You could be on to something here Cris, remember Josie did his laundry for at least some of the time and she cooked a bit. I always thought John loved Josie more like a mother or sister until the last few weeks.

John is loyal and very generous. I wonder who besides JJ he is still in contact with -Sam Pepper, Dave?
