Hello Lindy
working from home are you, good luck with that
if it was me, i'd get nothing done, very easily distracted me
See you've decided to give yourself a month , before you make any decisions on your future, i think that a very good idea.
Go on kick up your heels and have some fun.
Might see you later in the sanatorium chat thread

Greetings everyone,

The Degas exhibition of ballet dancers was wonderful........He did some incredible sculptures, and the pastel drawings are beautiful and the technical expertise is amazing...
My daughter studied ballet and I before that I hadnt realised how difficult some of the poses and positions actually were to create

He used such bright colours cos they were a new invention and he was experimenting with the new materials....

So Jem has left the building........that makes the voting....vaguely interesting....

and has John replied to Mark yet??

Hi georgy
Well you see I'm the type that shuts herself in her home office
Oblivious to the world
That way they get 60 hours a week out of me
Not the 40 I'd do in the office office

You're right
I need some fun !!!!!
And I intend to get it
All things being equal

Hmmm, Degas seems very popular, perhaps I'll make that exhibition part of one of my first 'fun days'

John is probably enjoying the Oz summer i suppose with the court case over he can relax a bit. Twitter is probably the last thing on his mind. Who could blame him? What a year he's had.?

Hello Pop Up
How are you feeling today, bet you're pleased to have Laura back
It was a very successful trip, you never know what going to grab his attention, the science museum not so much, but the natural history was great to.

Ellemay is right too imo - forumers invariably go OTT with the martyr complex, as compared with the GBP . . . . but not so many of the latter are engaged with BB this year.

What a lovely post, which made me smile ”

Just saw BB has meddled with nominations again as Jem has walked - Harry, Aaron, Jay and Faye up. I detest Jay so voting for Aaron, Harry and Faye. C5 should have either cancelled eviction or put all HMs up. Here goes another complaint to C5.

Anyway, carol rehearsals will commence again next week. Try and practice over the weekend.”

Hello
I will certainly pop it on my list of places to go
I want Harry to win
it about time we had a polite, well mannered young man,
walk away with the prize.
BB hasn't grabbed me like before, i keep dipping in and out of it.

[quote=augusta92;53958635]you can talk about it here as well, cos im interested as well. I think if he likes things like Rodin that is wonderful, does he enjoy art in general?
Its so odd/frustrating that we have only had widespread literacy for about 100 with thousands of years of non literacy before that, and yet so many things are judged on academic achievements.

We bought our first dog from a lovely old man, who had spent his life, caring for animals particularly pigs, but he had recently lost his job cos he couldnt read or write. But he was so gentle and caring with his animals.... It was such a shame that his natural talent with animals was ignored cos he couldnt read.

Hello augusta
No he can,t draw, very poor pen and hand grip.
But he has been working with clay on his life skills course.
This might be what's drawn his interest, you just never know.
We stopped worrying about academic achievements with him long ago. It doesn't matter , we are just working on him being able to take care of himself
all the best

I think John maybe felt more protective of his mum as he was such a long way away from her? And he also comes across as a caring protective sort of person who would want to look after his friends and family.”

John has a protective personality even fans.

Good evening everybody.

Been watching BB and, although I have been somewhat interested, have not really engaged with it as much as in previous years. Last night, however, I was taken back to last year when (as Alex pointed out) John James was exposed to information from outside that gave him cause to worry about how he was being perceived by the public. I felt that Big Brother was very cruel then and I now feel that this is a similar situation for Aaron.

This is what tipped the balance for me last year and I began to support John James (what if it was one of my sons - can't imagine what his mother thought!). I am not a fan of Aaron, but I really don't think this was fair and I am now in danger of being persuaded into supporting him.

Good to see you Hughsey

I know what you mean about Aaron - and I think ellemay also mentioned he is likely now to pick up a sympathy vote. I can't really comment, though, as I have not been watching, just getting all my info from the forum

I probably would watch, but for hubby it's a non-negotiable thing - if I watch BB, he goes upstairs to watch a DVD or the news - and I do like to see him

Of course you must put your hubby first. Anyway this year's is not as good as last year. Just as well as I don't want to get too involved!

Nor do I I would like a quick gander every now and then, though , but since both our daughters are now living away, I don't have the excuse of watching it with them

I know what you mean and it bears out what Ellemay was saying.

I would though point out that this outside interference concern works both ways. When BB played crowd cheers for Aaron into the house unusually AFTER the eviction interview in week 3, that gave him a significant psychological advantage. The effect of what they've done now is merely to reverse that and put a question mark back in the minds of him and other HMs.

But your point is still right, because few viewers would make the connection I just did.

Hello Mac.xxx

Have to say, been times when certain housemates got on my titBut no way i'm as involved as i was last yearMaybe it's the lack of you know whatThe MF is interesting this year though, not as extreme as it last during other BB,and certainly not like last year, imo.

Last year i really wanted John to walk, that last week was just horrendous, alright he didn't help the situation either, but it was very uncomfortable viewing.

lovely photos.....thank you, just what I need to cheer up a miserable morning.

Re aaron, I agree it feels as if he is getting a lot of outside interference and that the nominations twist this week was awful...

but did anyone else think it also reflected the fact that the others friends and family saw him as the biggest threat to their child or loved one winning, so it was also a very tactical vote, to put someone who was a favourite up......?
