Great to see the thread bounding along still near the top of the AT front page. And I gather the big news here is that one of our regulars is now on twitter - who better suited than an FM whose DS posts would probably transfer neatly without needing to use twitlonger!!

Alex still favourite to win at the bookies, but I can't see beyond an Aaron win given the obsessive nature of his fanbase (and facebook voting * 6). The main chance Alex had of winning disappeared I think when Jay survived to the final, as those two will now split the anti-vote. Those conspiracy theorists who think BB is anti-Aaron should ponder on why they didn't target Jay more if that were really the case. I also see that the ratings have fallen off a bit once Anton left at end of week 7.

Haven't seen any news from John, other than soccer (yawn!). Just as an aside, I'm finally starting to warm a little towards Josie on the BOTS quiz . . . now that she's stopped being so full of herself/pushy and seems finally to realise her own limitations by comparison with the likes of Jamie and Alice who do have genuine quick wit and intellect. And nice to see Jamie publicly gave her due credit after the last episode of the quiz. I must be going soft!

I'm still getting far more entertainment following Rebeckah instead of BB12, but I'll pop back here shortly with the best ever episode of Mood Indigo's genius from BB11.

Hi Alex, good to hear from you,

I think the mood at C5 has mellowed towards Aaron slightly, now he has more of a chance to win.....

and Josie is Josie, im sure there is a pleasant side to her somewhere, but she is very much a product of her upbringing.....
I think it will suit her to be less high profile and have to be a bit more honest about what she does.....but trust you to like her more on her last episode...contrary to the last!!!

and yes no news from John. I dont think he will ever be coming back...

never mind we can still think of him as some semi mythical creature...who can do no wrong...

and he does have some lovely photos!!-

What a lovely way to think of him, augusta

So I think I'll
- have a hero who can do no wrong
- have a cocktail at around 6 each day
- look forward to carols at Christmas

Cheers everyone !!

and i have to say Rebeckah, REALLY
Sorry, you've lost me??!

Alex:Unfortunately i have to agree with you, about the winner of BB 2011.
Well that's a relief bbl . . . since you called the winner of CBB right and I got it wrong!!

but trust you to like her more on her last episode...contrary to the last!!!
Who me, lol??!
Not on this occasion though - she changed for the better (as the show went on) and so my view adjusted to reflect that. Shame she had too high an opinion of herself at the start, until reality came home so that by the end she was playing more to her strengths.

ps - sorry for bounced PMs, I've cleared down inbox now

Great to see you back Alex

Sadly I am not a follower of any of this year's BB HMs. They simply haven't grasped my imagination - and of course the less you watch, the less 'hooked' you are  I did watch the eviction tonight though and thought Tom came over quite well .....he's got the gift of the gab, coped well with his disappointment and knows how to work the crowd.....can see him being on TV in future

Will be hoping to watch again tomorrow night as my husband is helpfully at yet another dinner...

Morning all. On a course of steroids now..

Lovely thoughts about John augusta. Beginning to think we ought to do a John James alumni club as news is so scarce.

Good to see Lena and Alex back on the thread. We do miss you Alex.

Off to tackle my ironing mountain!

Have a good day everyone.

Forgot to thank georgy for taking the rehearsals.

Sorry I couldn't make it to the pub but don't think you'd want me coughing into my scotch and soda.

Norman is a bulldog and I do want to publicly thank augusta for taking care of him. He seems better mannered these days.

Do you think we should dress him up as an angel for our tableau? I still have my angel's crown from high school.

nyannie hope you are feeling a little better
and all members and lurkers of the jjat are well
busy day
no food in the fridge, will have to sort that out
and i hate all crows
they've dug up my lawn looking for chafer grubs
no more long green strips, it now resembles a ploughed
field
Will pop in and out through out the day
all the best

Magpies and squirrels are the bane of my existence. We also seem to get bumps in the lawn from flying ants' nests - YUCH! Can't seem to get rid of them. Thinking of digging up lawn and turning it into vegetable and flower beds.

Given up on the ironing mountain - keep it for later when there is something on TV. Scouting around the threads for amusement.

Have fun food shopping georgy. I have that treat later. Have to send off Xmas presents to US this afternoon too. What an excfiting life I lead.

On second thoughts, think I'll go back to bed...see you all later.

Hello Nyannie
i,m so upset, we have a Big Garden, mainly laid to lawn, we even put patterns and stripes in it
Within two days of the crows looking and finding chafer grubs, it now looks like someone's used a rotavator on
it.
shall speak to the gardener this afternoon, but not much we can do about it, as the same thing happened a few years back.

BIB Hi annie, how would this be different from an AT? Well, (answering my own question ) I guess there would be no need to concern ourselves with being even remotely on topic. Isn't that pretty much the way we're going anyway? Would hate to lose anyone if we changed the thread title or overall focus though.

Hope the steroids do their job and you're feeling better x

Hi Georgy
Really sorry to hear about this
It must be bad to get our georgy down

Hope the gardener had some ideas
But it sounds like he'd have to work a miracle...

Strange how it can be something quite unexpected
Like this
That suddenly lays us low

Hope you feel much better soon

Hello Lindy
i,m ok really,
it just a lawn
my pride and joy, but a lawn
learnt something new about the gardener
when he saw the damage, well lets just say , potty mouth
we've lost half the lawn, not looking good for the rest
we will just have to start again
never mind
hope you and family are well

Thanks ellemay, I think that's a really fair review of BB12. I think there have been some good developments - but the problem is, as you say, I am not really interested in any of the people in the final. That may be down to them, but it may also be down to *whispers* lack of live feed

Still, old habits die hard and as I am at home tonight, I think I'll be turning on the TV just to see how it all pans out

Sorry, too long for me to read,i tend to lose focus very quickly.

Happy it's the final,9 weeks was more than enough this year, perhaps cause i don't have a clear favourite like last year.

Wonder if John will be watching?

I liked Harry before he came out and seemed to contradict everything he'd said before - time will tell whether he was right or not

His humour often felt contrived to me - I was surprised that John seemed to think so highly of him

Just goes to show, we only see a small part of what actually happens - especially with no *live feed*
