I am enjoying DWTS so much more than scd this year
I used to enjoy both shows for their differences. DWTS had all the gimmicks & razzmatazz whilst SCD remained the classic 'no frills' just dancing competition. My problem now is that although SCD is trying to morph into its American counterpart, the result has been more of a tacky imitation. The main difference now is the quality of dancing, and in that respect DWTS wins hands down at the moment. |

It is amazing that we are saying the quality of the dancing is better this year on DWTS. I'd never have believed that could happen.
![]() Even though the rules are different on DWTS, i.e. more relaxed about being in hold, etc., I reckon the DWTS routines would get better scores on SCD than most of the SCD routines! |

Just watched the results show. Wow! That Derek and Allison Tango/Flamenco was utterly superb. I think he's the best male lead of the series. I bet Rickie does too.

What I love about the DWTS Pro's are they recognise talent (I know it's such an easy target but *coughs* Aliona *coughs*) and when they get partnered with someone good they push them to be the best they can be. The results of which as a viewer are amazing to watch. (I will say they're not all as good as each other... Dmitry didn't do much with Maya in my opinion, but then they haven't really asked him back since!) Quote:
Absolutely! I love DWTS and find is so much more entertaining and thrilling to watch than SCD. I am frankly amazed how much bitching it inspires in SCD die hards! They just lurve to knock it.

Psst... Don't tell them over at the Strictly section, but I'm also enjoying DWTS much more than Strictly this year.
It has always been a better produced show, but it lacked a bit of class that Strictly always had - despite Brucie. Now that the class has gone out of the Striclty window, DWTS is so much more fun to watch. |

Poor Tristan. The judges & Brooke all telling Nancy to listen to Tristan.
Makes you wonder what we are not seeing. As much as I adore Tristan I think it's time Nancy went. I loved Hope & Mak's QS & Jive. I hope they survive another week |

Just seen the Halloween Themed Show...last night, very good too, but Maks again, bullying Hope, and everyone seeing it....Derek to the rescue.....and what a Dance with Ricki too. Was hoping Nancy would good too.....But David, was a good loser....unlike some on SCD. |

Hope's jive was fantastic especially given how poor she was the first time she performed it. Nancy has to go, I really can't see it being anyone other than her. Hopefully Hope and Maks's new attitude has earned them some new fans.

Totally agree breppo SCD is a mess lets hope whoever takes over from Moira Ross has seen the writing on the wall. DWTS is slicker ,loved the team dances . Derek Hough IMO always gets the very best out of his celeb.choreography is inspied.
Derek is fantastic, always so supportive and superb at choreographing to the best abillities of his partner. He is very clever in hiding his partner's weaknesses, like he did with Ricky and the Jive. Bad at kicks and flicks, so let's leave them out as much as possible. Apart from that his choreography is indeed inspired. His futuristic Paso with that lovely Krupa girl was incredible. Quote:
I agree. Also, as much as I love JR and want him to win, I thought his Jive was a little overmarked too. I thought Hope and Maks did the best jive (and I didn't think i'd be typing that last week).
![]() Len was in good spirits, the weekend off must have done him a lot of good. |

That was quite a charme offensive by Maks and Hope. Damage control of the highest order. I hope it helps keeping them in. Hope was looking very lovely. Costume department and make up have done their best and really played to her strengths this time. |

Indeed, Nancy has to go. The not listening to Tristan must be much worse than we see in the VT's. Even Brooke commented on that, which means it must be pretty bad. Tristan has been a revelation so far. Nice chap and he must have the patience of an angel. I still smile at his "turd step".

Not necessarily in the bottom two Rob and Nancy with Nancy going home.
Tristan is a beautiful man. Yes he is. Maks is back to his old self and was practically making out with Len. |
