Back to around the mid-week average for BB12. Must admit I'm surprised they're managing to hold on to as many viewers as they are.

1.4m for last night, not bad, highest for a while (I think last Tuesday or Wednesday).

I think people are so bored of the ratings now that they can't be arsed posting them now.

BB last night: 1.4m (7.8%)
(From the general TV forum)

Same as usual. Nothing to see, move along.

happybbfan...do you know why the two figures are different?
I got the ones I posted from the DS TV forum.

It looks like there's been a bit of rounding the figures up here.

Not just the ratings, the whole thing.

I don't think it's the first time either.

I wish InsideBB.net was still online to have a look at all the previous ratings.
I have no idea why it suddenly went offline and had its account suspended, and I haven't seen anybody here mention why either.
It was a very useful site to browse past ratings.

'Suspended' generally means that the site owner hasn't paid the bills in some capacity- if whoever ran IBB has just lost interest, then it's not surprising it's happened and that they haven't come forward to say they're not doing it any more.

James posted on his Twitter page after Tashie's eviction:

InsideBB Inside Big Brother
James here on phone, without net access- after tonight's disgusting spectacle I think I'll give up on BB altogether. Boos were horrible.

This is just not a nice show any more. RT if you agree. #bbuk #bigbrother

How many watched BBBOTS last night?
How many watched BB: Celebrity Impossible instead?

Those two shows clashed so I'd be interested to see which BB spin-off "won".

It's not BB any more - so I completely understand why he pulled the plug.

Makes sense, no point paying for a server on a product you dislike.

I'm not watching at the moment, but have had a few minutes to compile the following now that we're nearly at the end of the first month of the series:

Code:
	     Million Share %
Week 1 1.56 8.3 (09.09 to 15.09)
Week 2 1.35 7.5 (16.09 to 22.09)
Week 3 1.31 7.2 (23.09 to 29.09)
Week 4* 1.23 6.7 (30.09 to 06.10)

* currently airing; average to change once tonight's show is accounted for.
The overnight series average currently stands at 1.36 million and the average share is 07.41%. Ratings are tape-checked and include HD. Source: Digital Spy.

Is that accurate? I hadn't realised it had fallen so low.

See?
Someone walking, 500 bananas and some snogging, and ratings up 10% on the previous Thursday.

By my scientifically valid and entirely correct calculations, delivering 1200 kiwi fruit to the house, and getting them all face-sucking would push the ratings over 2 million.

Well at least it's:

1. The highest rating in about 9 days.
2. The highest rated Thursday episode.

In rather OCD-like behaviour, I've been recording the number of pages of posts attained during the Highlight show (taken 2mins after the H/L show ended):

Code:
Sat 24.9 28
Sun 25.9 21
Mon 26.9 25
Tue 27.9 23
Wed 28.9 27
Thu 29.9 24
Fri 30.9 23
Sat 1.10 19
Sun 2.10 13
Mon 3.10 21
Tue 4.10 21
Wed 5.10 22
Thu 6.10 33
... mirroring last night's small ratings boost. Wonder if it was Mark walking, bananagate or Jay/Louise that did the job?

when something happens such as a favourite walking out of BB house
i would say that the slight rise was due to this

what will the eviction get?
above 1.5m or below

Also, the previous episode was a good laugh, with the task debacle and the "Oss" farce, which might have generated a bit of word-of-mouth that the show was getting watchable again.

Or alternatively, if they all walk out, BB3 could be in danger.

The ratings are poor, I dont think there is any other way of looking at the actual numbers, the saving grace for the shows future is perhaps that they are stable.

I think the most disappointing part has to be the eviction show getting lower ratings than the normal ones, I do wonder if the extremely hostile atmosphere that now prevails is putting people off, its been bad for a few years, and we know Davina and production encouraged it, but it seems to have gone up a notch this year.

The old' panto' excuse doesnt wash either, its way beyond that.

Also it was up against Celebrity Juice which attracts the same audience as BB. Thursday's notmally get around 1.1-1.3m, so the 1.42m is a nice difference, which hopefully means today (with no Stricly) it can be more around the 1.6m stage.
