Well they told us it would be a record breaking year. Guess CerealGate and Aden's fans leaving made a real dent......just Aaron/Faye carrying the show on their backs now

Wow, what happened there?

Xtra Factor also logged one of its lowest ever audiences, with just over 600k.

It is pretty bad, isn't it? :/

But it will be way up tonight. Surely there couldn't have been that many people who were disappointed that Anton didn't go.

From the 1.61m of Friday night, that is quite a large drop, but it will be at around 1.3m tonight.

Weekends have always been a problem for Bigbrother.
But take into account the other problems BB on C5.

Weak eviction numbers
ropey numbers for the highlight shows
total media blackout of the show (apart from desmonds own papers and even they have given up)

Channel 5 really need to walk away after Bigbrother 12 have a good think what they want out of this format because its not working as it stands.

Wierd, I watched the XF then went straight to BB - You'd think that would bring more viewers not less!

I blame Jonathan Ross.

I think people underestimate that Saturdays, the younger demographic audiences of XF and BB (between 16-mid 20s) would go out at around 10pm, after X Factor. No one would go out before XF or after BB, too early and late.

Every single Saturday I have been in uni (and since I turned 18, I have not ever watched a BB episode live, with the exception of one or two times, I always record on Saturdays)

It was the weather...and the fact that it was three days after a full moon! That always effects the BB ratings.

Oh, and it's a crap soap opera now with no live feed and a house full of dullards. But I doubt that would put people off watching.

Yeah, I always watch it on virgin media catch up on saturdays. Do people that do this get factored into the ratings in any way?

No... they aren't dull, potentially the best cast in a long time, but anyway, why do you enjoy the show doing terribly? Surely you'd watch something else... I can't stand SCD but I wouldn't continue to troll in that forum.

Why do you pretend that you don't like Big Brother anymore? You wouldn't take such an interest in its ratings and have it as your 'services' if you didn't care about it anymore.

A bit too much protesting I think..

I wonder whether the Strictly Come Dancing/The X Factor clash might be hurting Big Brother - people watching Strictly in it's entireity then turning to The X Factor from 8.45. I was one of them who did this.

ITV1+1 pulled in 454,000 viewers. Add that onto Big Brother's audience and you suddenly have a figure 1.2m, though I know not all those who watched on +1 would have watched Big Brother.

Best casting since BB7. So the people missing out are missing out on a good series.

I watched every BBUK and I know dull when I see it. This lot are deadly dull, the ones left in there.

I don't enjoy the show doing terribly but I, along with numerous others, knew it would crash in the ratings with no live feed and a broadcaster who doesn't have a clue. And it has.

We'll be seeing below 500k in not long... looks like regular Big Brother could be put back in the coffin.
