Anyone have time breakdown for last night, to see if viewers stuck with it or tuned out over the duration?
Damien.

It'd be interesting to see a 15 minute breakdown..

The beginning probably had 1m+

To be honest, I don't think there is anything wrong with half of Saturday's show being a recap, but it should be laid out as such. Then people who have watched it all week would know that Saturday's show was a short one, and those who have missed some of the week will get a chance to catch up.

I was at a friends house, we were watching BB and after 20 mins we TURNED IT OVER to Xtra Factor.

Never happened before. I have NEVER switched it off.

Not really. Channel 5 say what they want out of the programme, and then approve every episode before it's broadcast.

Perhaps that's the reason why last night's episode appears to have been re-edited at the last moment and patched up with old footage, because Channel 5 didn't like the original edit.

I'm sure they do approve the episodes but given the deadlines the production team are working to I doubt they would have had time to totally rework an episode to that extent. I think that's more for minor tweaks.

Maybe Endemol thought Friday was boring in the Big Brother house up until the eviction? Even so, we'd like to see what happened!

I'm going by the spoilers posted in the OP of this thread. I'm not sure what the source of them is, but they don't read like a troll.

As far as deadlines go, I'm not sure what the schedule is for during the day, but the episodes are put together by, IIRC, 8AM before they go to the channel for approval, etc. That gives quite a lot of time to re-edit the programme, re-write a script for Marcus, etc. bearing in mind how quick digital editing is these days, and that all the clips we saw would be already bookmarked.

Having done a bit of searching, those spoilers are from here: http://totallybigbrother.co.uk/tonig...-october-2011/

I haven't done an exhaustive search, but the other days' spoilers seem accurate, so I have no reason to doubt that these were accurate at the time of printing. So it seems the episode has been drastically re-edited at the last minute, and we can only speculate as to the reasons why.

Utter nonsense. BB4 never descended to last night's depths. Not even close.

Last night was the worst show of all time. Bar none.

Still no ratings for BBBOTS?

I'm really keen to see how many people tuned in to see Rustie Lee cooking after that interminable HL show.

The whole thing was an absolute disgrace, whoever was responsible for it. Would never have happened when the show was on C4. Channel 5 are completely unprofessional, and Endemol are clearly cobbling something together as cheaply as they can, to maximise profits.

Shambles. So sad to see BBUK dying like this. This is the last ever normal series and what a bloody awful way to go out.

Last night's episode was terrible, interesting to see the ratings go up.

BBLB had 1.5 m and more viewers during BB4,now the main show can't even acheive this.

Morning all.

Last night's actual highlights show as opposed to Saturday's rerun with bonus features attracted an audience of 1.26m (4.5%) in the 9pm slot. This represents an increase of 70k and 0.2 share points week-on-week.

That 1.26m is the highest Sunday rating in 4 weeks I think.

Makes last night's BB the lowest ever rated show (in percentage terms) beating the two previous instances of 4.6%.

So as predicted by me, the Saturday piss take did indeed lead to a significant decline.

Huh? It had 4.3% last week.

Please don't tell porkie pies about the data. Nothing upsets me more on here.

Sadly the more they mess.they really dont know the hassle they are creating nothing riles the fans more than messing with the noms.

that 20 mins recap farce over the weekend..that REEKED of a coverup didnt it?it made no sense theres been no official word why it was done, the editing suite is onsite would only take an hour or so to just bung segments already edited together.Wonder what they are trying to hide this time...
