If Vodafone was not content with ripping its customers off (sorry simplifying prices) already. They have just moved up to another league . With Vodafone out of bundle data charges used to be £5.00 for a extra 500MB. Now however its £5.00 for 250 MB. So you now pay the same for 50% less.

Calls to any UK mobile phone network, standard UK landline (starting 01, 02 or 03) and UK voicemail 35p
Calls starting 0844, 0871 35p
Text message 12p
Picture message (Up to 300KB ) 37p
Video message 62p
Out of bundle data (in the UK for 250MB) £5 ************
Calls to Europe £1
Calls to the rest of the world £1.50
Text messages abroad (up to 160 characters) 25p

Don't worry Old Bill, Vodafone are obviously hoping to top last quarters annualised churn of 39.8% !!

Losing nearly half of your customers in 1 year can't be healthy.

I wonder if that is worthy of early contract termination.

I wouldn't mind being able to terminate mine now rather than waiting until November.

If you can show that these changes along with the other price increases would increase your bill by more than 10% then I would say you have a good case for early termination.

Unfortunately I have never gone over Vodafone's pitiful 500MB data cap. You can't when there's no 3G signal

I guess I'll have to sit it out until November. It's a little underhanded how Vodafone can raise prices at will, but I suppose I did agree to it.

You forgot the minimum 1 minute call charge. So even if you call for a few seconds you get charged for 1 minute which applies to contract and pay as you go customers!

And don't forget rounded up bills too - all to make it simpler for you though remember. They are thinking of you.

Totally. Paying £20.42 a month was truly mind boggling - I struggled at times to comprehend the 42 pence. I can't thank them enough for rounding that up to £20.50 - so much easier and a massive weight off my shoulders.

Isn't that something all networks have been doing? I wish we were back in the late 90s / early 2000s, things seemed more interesting and fun in terms of innovation (per second billing and things like that).

I think all networks except Vodafone use per second billing. Its a step back in time for Vodafone.

After the first minute all networks bill per second I think, just VF that don't now.

Nobody else rounds up bills either, and they were pricey to start with before these 3 changes.

The words "off" and "rip" spring to mind, please feel free to reorder them to suit.

I guess I stand corrected.

Vodafone weren't terribly competitive to begin with. Now they're trying to price themselves out of business.

I won't be staying - but I'm sure you've guessed that.

I doubt I'll be staying with them either.
So, what are O2 like in the Nottingham area?
Anyone?

This is a rather substantial change - I'll probably end up with an extra £5/10 on my bill, could probably use this to get out of the contract and get a sim only deal.

I'm quite disappointed that none of Vodafone's e-forum team haven't dropped by yet. They always seem to pop up in threads where they feel able to to solve a customer's problem. Perhaps they prefer to stay out of threads where they have no way of justifying their company's actions? Such a shame really.

Still, getting rid of their outsourced Conduit callcentre in Swansea will save them a few quid so maybe these extra charges won't be permanent.
