Don't forget this absolutely brilliant number, probably my favourite of theirs;
'Sundown Sundown' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIPvGpFJ0v0 Lee Hazlewood also did some very good stuff (and some not so) with actress Ann Margret. Check out 'You Turned My Head Around' and 'It's A Nice World To Visit But Not To Live In'. |

"Hello LA, Bye Bye Birmingham" is my favourite of hers - no idea if it was ever a hit. "Flowers on the Wall" is pretty ace too.
"Some Velvet Morning" deserves a mention as one of the weirdest songs ever to be successful. It has several time signature changes and sounds like a cross between Johnny Cash, the Velvet Underground and the soundtrack to The Wicker Man. |

Some Velvet Morning is a great song (but not the Primal Scream/Kate Moss remake!)

. original by the stater brothers, which was released here, got airplay but failed to impact much on the charts (#38 in 1966) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s8nRL2bPCU |

i notice this is your first post! welcome!
i love it... the dark production on lee hazelwoods part Yes, there is definitely a darkness about this song - love the way that the music changes depending on which one of them is singing and the way that the song switches rapidly between the two near the end. Great stuff. |

Huge Hazlewood fan here, his work in general is just sublime. Songs such as Pray Them Bars Away, Bugles In The Afternoon, Pour Man, Forget Marie, all his own tracks and all brilliant. Then remember he wrote songs such as These Boots Are Made For Walking, Some Velvet Morning and Rebel Rouser for other people!
Miles Kane's been championing him a fair amount lately, fair play to him! |

And Nancy sang the Bond theme 'You Only Live Twice'. Don't think Lee Hazelwood was involved with that one.
