I didn't like the new format, but I'll still watch it
![]() I thought we were going to see some more "cool" Frank Skinner photos ![]() Maybe they'll be on the extended version (Sunday 11.55 pm BBC1) Does anyone else remember them doing "Radio Room 101" at the end of the show, where the guests most hated records were put into Room 101 ? |

So what current show do you think is funny enough for you to keep on series record?

Towards the end of the previous series it did seem to get lamer and lamer with guests talking about their dislike of morris dancing and bovril rather than something a little more interesting.

I just think it's a common BBC1 Friday night comedy slot. They've previously had QI there. They realised with that one that it was on at the wrong time.

I'll be watching- i love Frank
but i hope that the guests arent the same people all the time like Frank's show. ie. Sarah Millican P.S. In case there is a smart aiss on here, no I will not be starting those topics myself, as I have a life to be getting on with. |

Hear hear..she's irritating at best of times and just awful tonight! I actually don't mind the change of format but as with all these shows it depends on quality and rapport of the panel. Tonight's isn't exactly setting the heather alight

It had its good moments. Frank Skinner is generally funny and I like Danny Baker so that made it worthwhile.
My item to go into Room 101 - people who post on TV Forums whilst the show is going out on air - especially the ones who say, "this is boring" or such like after five minutes. One thing I will say is that Frank did us all a favour by not allowing Punk into room 101 and his reasons were valid. Having said that I can understand why Danny Baker said what he said. It is becoming a bit romanticised rather like the 1960's were......

It was OK. Isn't the middle aged woman on it last night also in Big Brother. I'm confused?
I'll watch it but not for many laughs. |

I'll watch it but not for many laughs. I think FB is trying to promote herself as having "a bit of edge" which to be honest is not entirely convincing. |

I liked the old format, but this new version is fine.

Enjoyed it but certainly won't be watching next week, a lump of shit on a stick is more credible than the guests.

If they had brought back Room 101 in exactly the same format after a long break, I'm sure the Beeb would have been criticised for lacking in new ideas and rehashing old formats. They really cannot win.

) The guests may not be stellar but as long as they provide enough fodder for Frank to riff off that's all I care about really. Fern Britton is a bloody hypocrite though. It's all just drama, Fern, how come its great to watch people in funny costumes pretending they're from the past but it is "sad" to watch people in funny costumes pretending they're from the future? (She then complained about there being no sci-fi set in the past...I guess she can't be bothered sitting through Doctor Who long enough to realise it varies from week to week eh? )Still, the BBC did well to get some good publicity from her closed-minded comments! I guess there was a lot more sci-fi fans watching ready to boo her because of all the stories that ran about her slagging off sci-fi (Now, will someone on Youtube please re-edit the part where Frank shoots her with an actual lazer ray please! Maybe even a bit of Fern disintegration too! Thank you! )

Really enjoyed that, Danny Baker as usual stood out, and his arguments about panel shows and punk (forcing Frank to actually argue against him, much like in the Hancock era), rather than shooting fish in a barrel with Jeremy Kyle.
Robert Webb actually gave one of his better panel show guest appearances (he's not usually that good on them), shame they had to pad it out with Fern, but I guess that's due to the timeslot. 10pm would've been better, and allowed a bit more freedom to say a bit more without being cut... So a good start, although the guest list next week isn't so promising... At the end of the day, it'll stand or fall on the quality of the guests... |

I missed it! I like the idea of Room 101 - somewhere to banish your pet peeves to! I have a list of personal pet peeves as long as my arm (or maybe leg)

I didn't like the new format at all. It was pointless since the guests didn't interact with each other enough. They should do one item at a time, and decide if it goes in before revealing the next item.
And what's with the stupid cheap levers that wiggle when he's pulling them? They should replace this with I've Never Seen Star Wars with Marcus Brigstocke. |

So now we have yet another panel show. I wish they kept it 1 on 1.

I agree with Fern about the homework and my husband agrees with her about sci-fi which he hates!

I agree I did like the way Frank would argue against the panellist sometimes, and Danny Baker and Robert Webb weren't bad, making some good points.

I see Sarah Milliacan is on fridays show oh dear she kinda annoys me as one thread posted there does not seem to be a show she does not appear on. Enjoyed last fridays Room 101 agreed with Danny Baker about punk rock and fern britton was good too.

Yes, looking more closely, they appeared to be partly made out of plumbing accessories!(Perhaps 3rd or 4th item on this page: http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Plum...ing/d20/sd2699) |
